Wondering how many of us our out there? I posted on a thread about this, Then Thought about it and decided to start a new thread on it How Many Now Yorkie owners sleep on their side? Because you have maybe one Yorkie in the back fold of your knees and one tucked in front of your Tummy, And dare to move afraid to disturb them......So we lay so uncomfortable so our baby's can sleep. lol Fess up who are you? lol I know im one of them. I wake up wanting to roll over so bad, But I dont dare lol. And the need to strtch out my legs. Maybe that should be added to the Do you think you want a Yorkie? (All Yorkie Owners will sleep on one side.)LOL |
LOL it's funny that you said this....bc i sleep on my stomach on purpose, just so Bentley can sleep on the back of my legs. I've gotten used to it, and i can't sleep inless this is where he is! Its comforting to have my baby in my bed with me...and i don't DARE move when he is sleeping :D |
I sleep frozen in place with Cali by my midsection all snuggled up. |
Doesn't matter which postion I sleep - I STILL end up on the edge of the bed, because the bed hog is in my spot! |
LOL not me I cant stand sleeping on my side. I sleep on my back with Chachi at my feet and Jewels on top of me or up by my head |
On my side with Sissy curled up on my pillow under my chin!! |
When my dogs sleep with me, if I need to move, I will do it. Hey, they sleep all day long and if I "disturb" them, I'm okay with that. When they sleep with my mom however, she will not move an inch. It wakes her up and she cannot sleep, but she refuses to disturb them. Silly mom.:p |
I have never slept w/my dogs, I'm afraid they'll have an accident on the bed, or fall off, or I'll crush them in my sleep. Does anyone else have these worries? When the cats come to bed, I will lay in the most uncomfortable position to accomodate them. When my limbs begin to fall asleep, I will move. Teresa |
LOL that is funny. I just posted on myspace blog how my back is killing me because my furbabies take up the whole or bed or have me like a sardine. How can two little dogs rule my king size bed. But your right I love them so much and they are so cute I will sacrifice my back for them :p |
I tend to sleep on my side. If on my left side, (Gracie's favorite) gracie will curl up in my left arm pit and use my arm or shoulder (or boob!) as her pillow. If I roll over to my right side, she will curl up in the bend behind my knees. She is learning when I roll over, she better move or be squished! I don't worry too much about that, but I do tend to wake up and find out where she is before I roll over! |
Yep, I have 10 of them in bed with me and they are everywhere. On top of me in front, behind, under the covers, on top on the covers, laying across my neck, on my pillow. I dont get too much sleep and when they sleep with me I am miserable because of allergies. I dont think I am allergic to them but they play outside alot and its the stuff they bring in on their fur I think. My husband works at night so the dogs get to sleep in the bed but when he is home, only 4 get to sleep with us. I keep telling myself I am going to start making them sleep in the kennels but then I see how sad they look when I start picking them up to put them to bed and break down and let them sleep with me instead. I like having them there to snuggle with. Better than any electric blanket for sure. |

I sleep with Missie stretched out against my front (her head goes on my pillow or next to it) and my Chi mix curled up somewhere behind me or at my feet. Now, my Chi mix HAS fallen off the bed, but the covers on his side are tucked in, so he just fell into the pocket of covers beside the matress. ;) It was his fault because he was pushing off of me with his legs against my back. LOL He actually fell off 3 times that night, but it hasn't happened since then. There were pillows all on the floor on his side anyway, so he wouldn't of been hurt regardless. :) I definitely wouldn't have it any other way (ok, except maybe a bigger bed, because we are getting a Greyhound soon and us 3 sleep in a twin. lol!). They are the best body warmers, and waking up to their little bed heads is a crack up. :) |
Bobbi (yorkie) sleeps by my chest. Melody (toy poodle) sleeps on my feet and my cat sleeps on my pillow  :p |
Haha, thats funny, i get up all stiff and sore since they are bedhogs, Rosi will jump when i move, but Poli could'n care less, he would let me lay right on top of him. I have to pick him up and move him ! What we dont do for these Brats ! |
I haven't had a totally good night sleep since we got Misha a year ago. Then we added Piper. Now Max is coming. I just told hubby we are out growing our queen bed. Need to get a california king. |
LOL! You guys are funny! Kodak won't start off sleeping with anyone, he sleeps in his bed at night. During the middle of the night for some reason he winds up in my bed around 3am in the morning. I wake up with this ball of fur sleep in the back crease of my leg that I didn't even know existed.:aimeeyork |
:lol tears This thread is TOO funny!! I actually have to sleep FLAT on my back    Because every single night Stedman INSISTS that he has to sleep on my neck/shoulder - and I can't EVER move! I mean he literally lays in between my neck and the top of my shoulder, on my right side. And his head always goes on my pillow - so he steals THAT TOO! He lays on his side at night, with his head right on the pillow, EXACTLY like a human would (like I WISH I could LOL). But seriously, I get SO uncomfortable in bed at night - it about drives me nuts! But I deal with it because I want HIM to be comfortable (hubby says my thinking is completely BACKWARDS  lol). He gets soooo close to me that you'd literally think he was just "a part" of me lol - like I have a Yorkie growing out of the side of my neck! So anyway, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that goes through hell at night trying to get some sleep, just so their furbabies can be comfortable :p lolol |

Title should of said .....Wondering how many of us are out there? not our. lol |
Azrael sleeps pushed as tight as she can get into my chest or upper stomach. Zada sleeps either up agains my back or between my legs. It's difficult to turn over, plus Azrael snores. I wish I had the heart to put them back down stairs in their own beds so I could sleep all night without waking. |
Both my girls like to sleep on top of me, no matter how I'm laying. When my sweet, precious Chester was alive, I used to laugh at how a five pound dog could push a 150 pound woman out of the bed. I wouldn't have it any other way though. Sometimes I wake up and Darla is laying right across my throat, at which point, I have to move her! |
I am a solid sleeper and so is Buddy. I start out on my right side with him curled up in my stomach and at some point during the night we switch! It is he, not I, who does the switching. He gets tired of sleeping on the one side and jumps on me I move over and he curls up on my left side. Happens every night!:p Carik & Buddy:aimeeyork |
I think I am the only one who does not sleep with my yorkie. She is so little and I toss and turn all night and I am afraid that my husband will roll over on her too. I can see my husband now throw the covers back to get out of the bed and Hannah will go flying through the air.... ...Also my bed is so high and she will try to jump off anything...I am just too scared right now. |
We sleep in whatever position is comfortable for Toto!! Dear God, I haven't had a good night's sleep in over three years!!!! What is wrong with us!!!?????! Guess we must love these little brats!!??? ;) |
We started letting Reesie sleep with us after she got big enough to jump off our bench at the foot of bed. She moves around all night and is on and off the bed during the night. She's such a good little watch dog. Abbie is still a puppy and I let her snuggle when we first go to bed and when she falls asleep I put her in her kennel. She sleeps fine until about 5:30 and then she gets to come back to bed with me until it's time for me to get up. I'm still too afraid for her to sleep with us all night. A couple of nights ago we had a power outage and I let her sleep with us to stay warm. She slept like a baby zzzzzzzzz. I on the other hand couldn't sleep for the same reasons as most everyone else. Didn't want to disturb her. She likes to sleep completely under the covers curled into my stomach. I'm so afraid she is going to suffocate. It's so cute in the morning when she starts poking her little head out and I get kisses. |
Yep guilty as charged . Yorkies rule the bed! :) Kodi at my belly under the covers and Daisy on top at the back of my knees. I will move though although it is a big adventure to do it. It always takes Daisy at least 10 min to *make her bed * Kodi just lays right back down and goes to sleep. I love my lil buggers :)oops forgot to say and stormy the 25 pound cat at my feet and hubbys there too someplace LOL . Amy the GR is in her dog bed tough. |
I start out on my back with my left arm up and Sadie tucks real tight under my armpit! She usually stays under my arm for about 20 minutes then moves along my side..I don't stay on my back all night but, am fully aware of her being there...(must be a Mom thing!)She comes out of the covers and lays along my side on top of the blankets..she moves around all night long. Lillie is in a crate so any little sound that she makes Sadie is right there to check on her...(Lillie is 7 months old, her crate is in our bedroom). |
this thread is soo funny.....but i am guilty for sure. i only have one baby, but she is always either sleeping next to my stomach or behind my knees....i feel like i havent slept any way other than on my side since i got her.....and i cant move bc she looks so peaceful and sweet when she sleeps.....hehe:) |
Maggie's tangled in hubby's legs, Sunnie is between our pillows on her fleece blankie (she's been there since she was 8 wks old), and my dear Rocky sleeps up by my pillow underneath me, always has, snoring while nestled between...my....um....you know.... ok, too much information. |
