wow, that's horrible! I"m so sorry to hear. How can someone go into someone's yard and steal their pet? I'm amazed. I too would feel so violated.

Well she was driven over there....the gal had her scanned but when I talked to her it seemed a bit odd...she said that her daughter brought her home when she went to go pick her up from school. What made me put up a red flag was that she was really concerned about if I called the police and made a report ad how HER daughter was good and wasnt involved in taking her yadda yadda...but at that point I really wasnt caring I just was happy that Gidget was home. Then this moring super early there was a phone call from a guy who lives the next block down and said he saw her friday by the corner liqueur store with 2 boys and a girl. That she didn't have a collar on. (it was found unbuckled in the bushes cross the street) anyhow he knew one of the boys he was a neighbors kid and he was questioning them and they wouldnt give the girls info only that she lived in GG (where we picked her up from) since the guys was saying that he was going to the police since she wsnt theirs and they said that they wouldnt bring her back (they were kinda harassing her I guess) You know I wasnt there but I know she was taken since I heard the gate open and shut and she was gone (a skateboard was left) Anyhow I am grateful that the mom brought her in to get microchiped but she also made the comment that her daughter was really sad that we were coming to pick her up that she wanted to keep her (probably figured her mom would let her keep a stray?) Anyhow all I care about is that Gidget is home safe and sound.
Thanks again everyone for being there with me throughout my ordeal....it was heart wrenching....I can only imagine what people go through when their kids are taken...my son is at a ever closer eyeshot now.

oops sorry! I didn't realize you had already found her. Well keep these sites on hand anyways. Im sorry to hear that someone had broken in your yard, how terrible is that! I can't believe some people! They should be reported! Im am going to get my babies microchipped now, it's worth it! But some vets ( I used to work for one who did this) do surgery on animals and take the chip out! So be extra careful, maybe get her tatooed also! Good luck to you and Gidget!

You never would have recovered Gidget without the microchip....what a great arguement for chipping.

Whew! You must be so relieved! That's it. I'm taking Chloe to get microchipped tomorrow. I checked with Riverside county (for anyone who happens to live in Riverside County) and they do it Tu-thru thur, 9-12 and 1-3 $15 includes registration.

Again, hug your little one and I'm so glad you got her back.

I just saw this. Reminder again how important microchipping and registering our pets again. I am happy she is home again.
