Bless you, Tracy, for posting this for my little Muffin! We're still sitting at home, waiting 'til 8:00am Central Time to see if our vet & his staff make it to their office. ARGH! :( I woke up a zillion times last night to the dreaded sounds of ice plinking on the window panes. Nothing like worrying about weather & knowing there's zero I can do about it! The Dallas/Ft. Worth area is more-or-less an overgrown iceskating rink this morning. No fun for anyone on the roads. I'll come back here & give you any updates when I get them. I just got off the phone with the vet's office & they are slowly arriving, so Muffin's surgery is on! We just want to get this last one over with. My husband got the ice scraped off the car & is warming it up so we can SLOWLY head out. Thank you, everyone, for your support. This whole thing has been stressful beyond belief & then with the weather. :eek: I'll post here when we hear later today when the surgery is over. Bless you all! CJ (A Nervous-Nellie Mommy!) |

All your safe driving wishes & prayers worked...Muffin has been safely delivered to Dr. Bob's office! His staff are arriving slowly, but surely. Talk about patchy weather & ice...we drove 50mph at some points & 20mph at others! Now comes the fun part...waiting for the phone to ring. :rolleyes: I can't even tell you how wonderful it feels to know that all these prayers & good wishes are being sent Muffin's way! She'd love to give each of you a great big slurpy kiss herself, but I'll just say "Thank You" for her. MUCH less messy! :) I'll keep you posted when I learn something. Once again, your prayers & good wishes have pulled me through! I just got off the phone from Dr. Bob's office & Muffin's second surgery went well. Hip Hooray!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: I was getting a bit frantic because they called about 2 hours earlier after the first surgery. But this morning's icey weather threw off everybody's schedules down here. Muffin will spend the night there & they'll call us tomorrow & let us know how she is & when she can come home. I'd appreciate you continued prayers. Muffin will have another very long incision, from above her front leg, down her belly to her hind leg. We had some difficulties with her stitches last time & we hope this time goes a bit more smoothly! Thank you Yorkie Talkers for being the wonderful, kind & caring people that you are! C.J. |
