Sawyer goes almost everywhere with me. I don't take him in stores where they sell food; but anywhere else is game. I took him to Bealls department store, and one of the clerks said I shouldn't have him in the store, and I said I only have to pick up a dress for my granddaughter; but I will get it somewhere else if you insist. She just smiled and said o.k. then . I took him to ti kuan do classes with my grandchildren yesterday, and he was so well behaved the teacher bowed to him and called him a little warrier. lol:animal36 |
My girls go everywhere except Wal-Mart, grocery store, Doctors, dentist and most resturants. I just hate leaving them at home, and I don't spend more time away than necessary. When I do have to leave them, I put on the solo harp music as it tends to relax them so much. I have a dog stroller that works so perfectly when I go to the mall or anywhere in the summer when the streets are so darn hot that they can't walk on them. I have even draped a thin blanket over it and ate at several places. Best investment I've made for them yet.:D |
I had to take my youngest son to the eye doctor a few weeks ago and I didn't have time to take Abbie home first. I keep my puppy purse in the trunk just in case so I put her in it. I just knew we would be asked to leave, but it took a little while before the doctor noticed Abbie in my purse. He couldn't hardly finish my son's eye exam. He asked for the name of the breeder I got her from because his daughter was getting married and she had always wanted a yorkie. He was very emotional because they had just put their family dog to sleep the week before. What a nice man.:) |

I wont take Jake with me anywhere that has food as I don't want to put some poor store owner or restaurant owner out of business because of health regulations, but if the store has a open policy for dogs I used to take him with me. Now I have 2 dogs, and they are both 6lbs (sophie will be getting bigger too) its just not practical to take them both, and as they keep each other company when I'm not there, I dont feel so bad about leaving them at home. However they both come if I'm visiting friends, mainly because my friends are almost happier to see them than they are to see me :) |
Have Rosie will travel! We are a multi dog family with extended family living with us aswell. 1 or more of the dogs ( we have 4) will usually get to go on some sort of road trip whether to p/u some one from work to go see family members or to go to the stores we can access with a dog. Rosie -our Yorkie even comes on occaision to work with me at the Forensic Jail Hospital where I work. I have a small dog sling that her harness afixes to and she is a quiet dog so often people don't notice her until well into our adventures in shopping land. Our bigger dogs unfortunately can only go to pet stores, parks , & friends & family & occaisionally with me to work. But yes we try to take them/her where ever we can. Even my son in law will come by to take one of them for a road trip! talk about spoilt eh...LOL |
everywhere Mine is 7-8lbs (bigger than expected). I take him everywhere...to work in his rollaway backpack and when my client's parents come in they take him and hold him because they love dogs. Shopping, mall walking (always in a purse type carrier of course), car rides, you name it. I try to avoid taking him into any places with food. If I know my shopping trips are going to say end at a walmart or something, I try to avoid it...but if I am out and about and have to make a stop into a conveniant store or something, I zip up his purse and sneak him in. suz |
Awww, I wish I could take Toto with me ANYWHERE. The little booger gets car sick. I have tried letting him ride on my lap, nope that didn't work, tried him in his crate, nope, that didn't work either. And besides, when I pick him up and carry him towards the car, you can feel him stiffen up and push against you and the war in on. So I guess it's just home for Toto. Any change of scenery he gets will have to be on foot. :( |
maggie goes everywhere, including work. The only place she doesn't go, is if we are going to a nice restraunt. If it is not a really "uppity" restaraunt, I will take her in her little "purse" and they never know the difference :) I'm bad, I know, but I can't stand the thought of leaving her at home in a crate. even tho my other dog has to stay home, she has free roam of the house. I would just rather maggie be with me all the time. I worry about her too much and find it easier to just sneak her in :) hehe. |
Mine dont go to many places with me. They do go to my moms once in a great while. Hubby and I take them for short rides out in the country. I dont take them to any of my other family or friends houses with me other then my mom and daughters. The park and the lake in the summer . thats about it. |
Princess is always with me. Unless she's having a bad hair day and won't get in her car seat. Then she has to say home with her Dad. She gets really mad when she see's the car leave without her. She has a stroller that we take everywhere, she loves the Mall. They have a new puppy store with yummy treats;) Princess will be four in March, she's my baby girl, I wouldn't have it any other way. |
