Do you take your yorkie everywhere with you? Where all do you take your yorkies and where do you not take them? |

When I just had Sadie, she came everywhere with me (that I could take her)..Now that I have Lillie too, it's a little harder...I will try when she is older...right now she is 6 1/2 months old and still in puppy mode..so it's a little more difficult |
We take Abbie everywhere. Petsmart, Dept Stores, Lowes, She really likes to go to the Mall because we have a 9 lives store and she always gets special homemade treats. Because I have a puppy purse no one really knows I have her unless she pokes her head out. She loves this purse and she's not a barker so it really works out. It's alot easier than holding her. Reesie our oldest is not small enought to carry in a purse but I have a sling to carry her. She's almost 11 pds. Most of her trips are to Lowes, walking trails and rides in the golf cart. She really doesn't like the car much. She pants alot and seems nervous so we limit her rides. Oh and Abbie goes to work with me everyday until she gets big enough to run around loose all day like Reesie. |

yes! as it allows of course. We sneak her everywhere with the purse, she sits oh so quietly there. |
Unfortunately Buddy grew to big to take everywhere:( I do take him to the pet stores when shopping for food and snacks and he goes with me to family homes. But I guess that's it! Carol & Buddy:aimeeyork |
Sabastian goes pretty much everywhere with us! He absolutely loves riding in the truck.....all we have to say is, "load up, let's go", and he is already waiting at the gate!! We live in a small town, so we don't even have to put him in his carrier, we just hold him. We have never had anyone say anything about bringing him in stores.....most people are so amazed by him, that they forget that it is against rules. Of course, we don't take him to resterants, but most other places he comes along! Saly, Reece, and Kiko have only been to relatives houses and for rides, only because there is 3 of them and they are only 11 weeks old......too many for us to handle at that age! |
No - not ALL the time, not EVERYWHERE I go. I can't. Stedman gets EXTREMELY excited when we get in the car - I mean he FREAKS out  He LOVES "going for a car ride" - but he just gets himself too worked up, too excited...and because of his size, I just feel like it's all too much for him. So no, we don't take him everywhere with us. Plus, a dog isn't allowed to go everywhere we go ;) |
When we first got Wes, he came everywhere with us. But after getting Maddie that isn't a possibility anymore. The only store we take them to is the pet store. I used to take Wes with me because I always felt guilty leaving him at home alone, but now that he has Maddie with him, I don't feel so bad anymore. Mine are also 10 and 6 pounds so I couldn't get anything done carrying them. I think if I had a tiny I would take it with me more often. |
Jaden goes with me everywhere. I have some awesome carriers from Tinkerbellscloset and TrixieandPeanut that look just like purses! Jaden doesn't like to stay home alone so I don't make home. The only time he gets left home is when I have to go to work which is 3 days a week for 3 hours. The rest of the time I'm home or if I'm going out somewhere he gets to come  |
Well Jewels is the only one I have small enough to take in a bag. I have snuck her into the movies, target and places lke that. I never take her to restaurants or grocery stores |
I very often take Maddie with me. She sits quietly in her carrier and watches the goings on. She loves to go and as soon as I'm ready to leave, she's trying to jump in her carrier! I don't take her to the grocery stores or restaurants, but I do take her to Walmart where they have groceries. If I'm going to be buying a bunch of groceries, I leave her at home. |
James goes everywhere with us, Safeway, to get my haircut, shopping, pretty much everyone as long as he is in his bag he will not bark and he enjoys it |

Sawyer goes almost everywhere with me. I don't take him in stores where they sell food; but anywhere else is game. I took him to Bealls department store, and one of the clerks said I shouldn't have him in the store, and I said I only have to pick up a dress for my granddaughter; but I will get it somewhere else if you insist. She just smiled and said o.k. then . I took him to ti kuan do classes with my grandchildren yesterday, and he was so well behaved the teacher bowed to him and called him a little warrier. lol:animal36 |
My girls go everywhere except Wal-Mart, grocery store, Doctors, dentist and most resturants. I just hate leaving them at home, and I don't spend more time away than necessary. When I do have to leave them, I put on the solo harp music as it tends to relax them so much. I have a dog stroller that works so perfectly when I go to the mall or anywhere in the summer when the streets are so darn hot that they can't walk on them. I have even draped a thin blanket over it and ate at several places. Best investment I've made for them yet.:D |
I had to take my youngest son to the eye doctor a few weeks ago and I didn't have time to take Abbie home first. I keep my puppy purse in the trunk just in case so I put her in it. I just knew we would be asked to leave, but it took a little while before the doctor noticed Abbie in my purse. He couldn't hardly finish my son's eye exam. He asked for the name of the breeder I got her from because his daughter was getting married and she had always wanted a yorkie. He was very emotional because they had just put their family dog to sleep the week before. What a nice man.:) |

I wont take Jake with me anywhere that has food as I don't want to put some poor store owner or restaurant owner out of business because of health regulations, but if the store has a open policy for dogs I used to take him with me. Now I have 2 dogs, and they are both 6lbs (sophie will be getting bigger too) its just not practical to take them both, and as they keep each other company when I'm not there, I dont feel so bad about leaving them at home. However they both come if I'm visiting friends, mainly because my friends are almost happier to see them than they are to see me :) |
Have Rosie will travel! We are a multi dog family with extended family living with us aswell. 1 or more of the dogs ( we have 4) will usually get to go on some sort of road trip whether to p/u some one from work to go see family members or to go to the stores we can access with a dog. Rosie -our Yorkie even comes on occaision to work with me at the Forensic Jail Hospital where I work. I have a small dog sling that her harness afixes to and she is a quiet dog so often people don't notice her until well into our adventures in shopping land. Our bigger dogs unfortunately can only go to pet stores, parks , & friends & family & occaisionally with me to work. But yes we try to take them/her where ever we can. Even my son in law will come by to take one of them for a road trip! talk about spoilt eh...LOL |
everywhere Mine is 7-8lbs (bigger than expected). I take him everywhere...to work in his rollaway backpack and when my client's parents come in they take him and hold him because they love dogs. Shopping, mall walking (always in a purse type carrier of course), car rides, you name it. I try to avoid taking him into any places with food. If I know my shopping trips are going to say end at a walmart or something, I try to avoid it...but if I am out and about and have to make a stop into a conveniant store or something, I zip up his purse and sneak him in. suz |
Awww, I wish I could take Toto with me ANYWHERE. The little booger gets car sick. I have tried letting him ride on my lap, nope that didn't work, tried him in his crate, nope, that didn't work either. And besides, when I pick him up and carry him towards the car, you can feel him stiffen up and push against you and the war in on. So I guess it's just home for Toto. Any change of scenery he gets will have to be on foot. :( |
maggie goes everywhere, including work. The only place she doesn't go, is if we are going to a nice restraunt. If it is not a really "uppity" restaraunt, I will take her in her little "purse" and they never know the difference :) I'm bad, I know, but I can't stand the thought of leaving her at home in a crate. even tho my other dog has to stay home, she has free roam of the house. I would just rather maggie be with me all the time. I worry about her too much and find it easier to just sneak her in :) hehe. |
Mine dont go to many places with me. They do go to my moms once in a great while. Hubby and I take them for short rides out in the country. I dont take them to any of my other family or friends houses with me other then my mom and daughters. The park and the lake in the summer . thats about it. |
Princess is always with me. Unless she's having a bad hair day and won't get in her car seat. Then she has to say home with her Dad. She gets really mad when she see's the car leave without her. She has a stroller that we take everywhere, she loves the Mall. They have a new puppy store with yummy treats;) Princess will be four in March, she's my baby girl, I wouldn't have it any other way. |
