oh no.. poor baby.. I just saw these... I am so sorry... how is she doing? I agree with Nobella once this is all over I would march over there and at least give them a piece of my mind..... keep us updated!

That is why you should always trust your instict, you know when your little one is not right, just by the way they act. Hope she's well soon.

OMG! I just saw this thread and when I started reading it I was going to post that probably she's just scared of getting hurt again, but wow! a mother's instinct is a mother's instinct!!! I'm glad you were always keeping a third eye on her even though the vets said she was fine. I hope she recovers soon, keep us updated!!! Sending hugs and kisses for little Candi!

Give her a couple of days to get her bearing back and then leave it in the past (as Cesar says), sometime they feed off of our energy and fear for them. I wouldn't hold her anymore though. Just take her outside and play or leave her in her crate with some toys to play with for a little while. Maybe that will help.

Hi I am new here..I went to check out your bows, they are darling, but it appears the price on them is $50!! Is that correct? I have a darling yorkie named Lia that just whelped her first pups on Monday 0108 at 0500!! The first was stillborn :-((( and the second an adorable female! She wts. 5.5 oz! and has already had a healthcheck AAAAAAAA's. Anyway I would love to find some mommy/daughter matching bows, clothing etc..Any Help is appreciated!

Thank you all so much for your concern, it has been a long day and have been just sick with worry.
Candi is still in there, they have her on pain meds that make her sleep most of the day and all night. Her fever has broke and so far hasn't come back. (almost 6 hours fever free) I have been doing volunteer work so I can stay with her as much as possiable. They want her to be fever free 24 hours and want to see an improvement on her little head before she can come home. The vet I was helping tonight really thinks she should make a full recovery.

Right now I am sitting here with Lexi and Tori, they are being so sweet and I think they know something is wrong. Tori was digging in my purse when I came home and sniffing everything.

Please keep praying my baby girl has to be OK.

No they are not $50 the site isn't up yet. You would have to PM me.
Right now though I am not taking any orders till my baby is home and doing MUCH better. Thank you though and hopefully I will be doing them soon.

I hope miss Candi gets well soon. How terribly scary. I'm so sorry you are going through this. SOunds like you know your baby better than the vets. Please keep us updated!

I am so sorry about baby Candi - it sounds though, like she is improving. I just can't imagine how horrible this must be. You are such a good mom though, you kept on till you found someone who would care for her properly. Keep us posted!

Aw, poor little Candi and poor mommie! I'll say a prayer that she gets all better very soon. You were right after all - there was something wrong. We mommies know those things - no matter what the vets may say.

It's great that you get to spend time there. It must be comforting to be so close to her. We'll continue to pray that she makes a full recovery. Thanks for the update.

I am so glad the vet believes she will make a full recovery. You have made a believer out of me -- and I hope the other vets who brushed off the problem -- we do know when our babies are not themselves. And that is the first sign of any illness or injury. Human Docs and Vets alike need to give parents more credit for their concerns. Good that you are so vigilant and got Candi in to the ER vet so quickly. BTW she is absolutely beautiful! Praying for Candi's swift recovery!

Tricia - I am just seeing this thread. I am so sorry that Candi is having problems from her slip and fall. Always trust your mommy instinct, you knew there was something wrong and there way!!! I am praying the ER vet is right and there will be a full recovery. Poor little baby. Please give yourself and all the girls hugs from Sissy and I. We'll be waiting to hear good news!!

Personally I think you know your dog better than ANY vet, and you know when they are not acting right! I wouldn't go against your gut feeling! However, sometimes my Fletcher gets like that! Something scares him and he starts getting all clingy. Also my Dexter was sooo independant, he never was the really cuddly one, then last Feb I had him fixed and we babied him afterwards for 4 whole days. First my mom and then me, we stayed home with him and held him and let him do anything. Since then (been almost a year now) he is VERY clingy!! He wants to be held 99% of the time! At first I catered to him, but now I can't! I would say give her a few days of good loving and then don't pick her up as much. If you sit down let her lay on your lap, but when you are up & moving, let her stay down. My fletcher violently shakes when I am doing something with the dishwasher or a trashbag, he is terrified of them! But the shaking stops after awhile. He is glued to my feet/side when the dishwasher is running though!

Waiting for an update also............Every time I read about a sick or injured pup it is so heartbreaking............it's feels as if it's one of our own :cry: .........

Sorry everyone, I posted her update in Villettes thread and totally forgot to post here.

She is home and doing a lot better. She is still very skittish but not shaking. She was running around a bit yesterday but not for long before she wanted to go back in her stroller..

Thank you all so much for the support I really do appreciate it...
