Do you got a link to the yahoo group? I think someone needs to go on there and inform people who are donating so they also don't get scammed |

Thats sad. It just goes to show you never know, and we all need to be more careful. Im glad they was found out. Good job admin an dthe others who helped. |
As a Newbie to this wonderful discussion and Information board I did have opportunity to read and follow the " Plight of Wee Miko". Having just become a Yorkie Mummie but not a new dog owner this type of fraud and scam is just awful to all of the good intentions of the Animal Lovers here. I unfortunately am rather Jaded in my perceptions and when I see requests for donations or help unless I can varify the situation I usually won't respond positively. This is due to along career in Forensic Nursing where I deal with Psycho paths and the criminal /seedy elements of life. I do thank the administartion of this web site for their due diligence in taking action when needed and notifing the membership to these disreputable individuals and attempts to extort. I do hope that all those kind and loving posters that donated to this con artist, get restitution and some form of legal consequence happens. But on a positive note, I thank all of you for being the kind, caring people that you are and concerned enough about the betterment of the care and promotion of the Yorkie Breed. TTFN, Suellen |

I have no idea if there really isn't a Miko or not, but I suspect not. If she's posting on other forums asking for donations, she should be stopped! Anyone ever verify the vet phone #? I think I'll call it (if it's still in the post). |
I don't know for sure whether Miko is real or not real but the fact that two people one Kammi and the other that Jona (Post 192) were both released from posting here on Yorkie Talk would make it appear as if something is wrong. My original post about this being a scam was to just give everyone the heads up. The fact that Kammi used an alias to back up her claim in itself is internet fraud. If anyone does know for sure that the money did not go for Miko the statutes would be covered under E-Commerce. My feelings are that whether or not there is or is not a Miko anyone that uses an alias to back herself up is no one I would trust. I'm saddened that someone would do this but at the same time I'm hoping that Miko is just a made up pup as it would be heartbreaking to think that this little pup is lingering on and going through tests for so long. I love my Yorkies but if I saw that they were suffering for what like over ten days now of testing in a vet clinic I think I'd let their last days be with me in my arms and knowing love rather then in a cold clinic going through so much at such a little age. Just my feelings. Elaine |

It's a crappy situation no matter how you slice it:( She really blew her credibility when she posted under an alias vouching for herself. I was going to donate, but my husband had the Visa card and I couldn\'t remember the number on it, thank goodness. |

how awful is this! |
What a horrible person!!! I didn\'t donate but I feel bad about people who did, I didn\'t even see her post, good eye on catching this fraud:mad: |
oh that really sucks!! I just reread the thread and it still seems pretty genuine. I am a very bad judge of character but shame on her if it is a scam. How horrible!! |
I called and they said there is a Miko there who has kidney problems. They also said Im not the first person to call today about Miko. They just didnt come out and said he had kidney problems I asked if he did. I did a search on the phone number and it does come back to the vet hospital that is posted on her webpage. I dont want anyone to think Im defending this person. I honestly have no clue who this person is. |
