Ummm, I think I may umm need to update my avatar. :D |
I'm envious, I can't get a dog, much less an avatar to represent one! Sigh, I don't know what I'm doing in a Yorkie forum everyday when I can't even have one, just one! |

Oh my gosh she is beautiful... she is so cute. She looks tiny. Whatever you decide to do will be a good decission after all the info you have gotten here. I too think no matter what size she ends up she will be a beautiful little girl her personality looks great she seems like she is very happy & healthy with you. Good luck can't wait to hear what you decide. |

You have a beautiful little girl who I bet adores you! There is no limit to the love these little ones provide. It just breaks my heart to think about you taking her back. Zeus turned out a little bigger than I was expecting, but I wouldn't trade him for anything. Getting him is the best decision that I ever made and I hope you'll come to find that keeping Zoe is one of your better decisions!! :) |

With reading some of these posts ... I am shocked to a degree.  I have a little girl My Prissy who is 10 months old tomorrow and weighs in at only 2.11 pounds... With that said I do not breed for tinies. I have had many, many interested parties looking to purchase her, but after reading this thread I think I am doing the right thing and choosing to keep her right here with me. JMHO |
wow.... I was shocked but i must say this: I WANT ZOE!!!!! I THINK SHE IS TOO BIG FOR YOU! GET YOU ANOTHER DOG, THAT DOG IS JUST PATHETIC, GIVE HER TO ME TO HELP YOU OUT!!!! LOL:p |

Well, I'm a freakin' day late and a dollar short joining in (note to self, STOP working and stay on YT every day!!!). And because I'm late, most of what I would have said has already been said so I'm joining Bama with the :2popkorn: and I brought some  Zoe is adorable!!!! Like others have said, size don't matter, it's what's in their heart. My Gabby is my "flower pot" yorkie weighing in at 16 pounds!! Gage, who looks much smaller than he actually is, weighs in at 9 pounds. They love me unconditionally despite my looks :p just as I love them. :clapsmile to you for sticking around:) |
I do understand people being disappointed when they pay big bucks based on size promises that don't come true. But trust me, you'll grow to adore her, and won't be able to BELIEVE you ever posted this thread! :D A couple of points: **Both the breeder and the vet originally sd. my Kiki would be around four lbs, but the puppy growth chart estimated her for 7-8-lbs and above! :D Well, she's almost a year old now, only weighs five lbs, and has only gained one lb. in the past five or six months. Of course, she could hit a big growth spurt and gain another three lbs, who knows...it's just a fun process to watch! **My Mazie weighs less than three lbs, and is very fine boned, and Kiki is five lbs with very broad shoulders, etc. When I see them together, Kiki looks huge. But then when I look at Kiki by herself, I think, omigosh....she is a TINY little dog! And even if she gains one or two more lbs....she will STILL be a tiny little dog!!! **With the huge dog you already have in the house, I really think you'll end up being happier if Zoe is bigger than you originally thought! **And finally....she is adooooorable! Really a very beautiful and sweet example of a yorkie baby! Good luck to you both! |

I, like Tricia, own a tiny. My Cali is a Chihuahua but the rules of tinies apply to any breed. Cali is 1 lb and 2 ounces and she is 8 months old. HEALTH WISE, she is PERFECT. But SIZE WISE, well that's another story. She can NEVER EVER fall off the couch again. She did once and got seriously hurt -- I had to rush her at 6 a.m. to the Emergency Vet. I was getting dressed for work and Tia accidentally knocked her off the couch and on to the carpeted floor. Cali SCREAMED and SCREAMED and SCREAMED and SCREAMED!! Have you ever heard a dog scream before? If you haven't, pray that you never do because the sound is absolutely terrifying. Hubby and I rushed her to the ER vet and I balled my eyes out all the way there. THANK GOD she was ok but the vet HIGHLY WARNED us never to allow her to fall off the couch again if we can so prevent it. He said due to her size, she could have EASILY broken something or even killed herself ... he said it was a MIRACLE that she was unharmed. Also, I may not be able to spay her. Hubby and I are still deciding what to do but several vets and specialists have confirmed that she is a HIGH RISK because of her size. Plus, it will cost much more than spaying a regular size dog would (we're talking anywhere from $1,500 - $2,000). In addition, they will want to run a series of blood tests before the operation and keep her in the animal hopsital after the operation for a few days or until they feel it's safe to bring her home. In light of the high risk involved, we may not be able to get her spayed (which would leave her open to possibly getting cancer in the future -- just thinking of that breaks my heart). :( :( I always have to be careful when she's playing with Codie and Tia. Even though Cali is tiny, she likes to play rough. She thinks she is a big dog and that really isn't to her benefit. She takes risks and I always have to be on my guard with her to keep her safe. There are also other things to be careful of with tinies but the list is long and I don't want to hog up the thread. :p With that being said, do I regret getting Cali? ABSOLUTELT NOT!! I cannot imagine my life without her. She's my special little girl and I really think I would die if anything ever happened to her. She's the little love of my life. But do I CONSTANTLY worry about her? ABSOLUTELY! Not a moment goes by where I do think about her all day while I'm at work. I really hope you don't take my post in a negative way or get offended because I do truly not at all mean it to come across like that. I just wanted to give you a viewpoint from someone who actually OWNS a tiny. If you'd like any more info, please feel free to PM me. I'd love to talk to you some more about this. I wish you and Zoe all the best of luck. :D Please give little Zoe a kiss from Codie, Tia and little Cali. :p |
 Wow i have to say i am very ashamed to be a part of YT right now:eek: some of you are very rude and i don't care if you have a strong opinion or not some of these posts are very uncalled for and you should be ashamed of yourselves for posting them. :thumbdown She has come here for help and advise not to be bashed and abused!! So she wants a tiny Yorkie that is her right to want one and if she isn't satisfied with the one she has then she has every right to return it!! It its her money not yours. I am disgusted with the self riotous posters these days who are you to judge anyone?? Yes your opinion is welcomed but there is a tactful way to go about it!! ever heard the phrase if you don't have anything nice to say?? I know everyone here is passionate about the breed and a lot have great advise to offer but if you want to be down right ignorant to people go somewhere else! These people come for help post a couple times and get slammed for asking anything and then they never come back!! Stop forcing your views and values on everyone else this is a public forum and yes WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS!!!! But some of you do it with tact and i really thank the people who tried to help her:thumbup: |
