I like the Cowboy Magic too. At first I thought the detangler was making Ben look a little greasy on top of his head, but then I started using less and skipping his little head. It does make him shine nicely and combing after his bath is a breeze. I do wish it had a nicer scent -- it does not smell much at all. The Cowboy Magic shampoo is the same -- little scent and very concentrated -- but works well. I will probably try a different shampoo if this bottle ever runs out! Mine like the Kong with peanut butter in it but will not eat any of that expensive Kong Filler I bought from Petsmart. DH says it looks like caulk and why would they eat it. All 4 of mine LOVE the bully sticks/Pixie sticks (if you order from Kathryn). The two Yorkie pups really love it if I will just hold one and they nibble on opposite ends. I feel like their slave. We had to put the loofa dog away for awhile because the female Jack Russell fell in love with it :( But they all seemed to like it before the torrid affair. Let's see..... what else...... foods -- I don't know where to begin. I have gotten lots of sample sizes to try and not sure mine love any dry food. But they are eating Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul kibble fine right now. They seemed to eat most brands of kibble without much enthusiasm. They would not eat the Natural Balance kibble but love the little Natural Balance meat rolls. We put just a few shavings in with their kibble and it is a mad scramble to see if they can pick it all out. They also love cottage cheese and the Yogurt drops -- both of which I read about here. |
Great thread! Not everyone will admit that a "fabulous product" didn't turn out to be that fabulous for them. I switched Tatum from Missing Link to Grizzly Salmon Oil on someone's recommendation and it took nearly a year before I realized that it was not making Tatum's hair better... in fact, it was worse. We're back on Missing Link now and Tatum's hair is already thicker! I think PetSilk shampoo and conditioner works better on her than the CC products although I do still use ice-on-ice for in between bath brushings. And of course with this, every dog's hair is different and different products work for them. I haven't tried Cowboy Magic because Tatum's hair is so silky that even when it's very dirty it doesn't mat or tangle (but then she doesn't wear clothes either which can cause tangles). Remember that stuffed marmot toy that a bunch of people raved about quite a while ago. Tatum got that for Christmas last year and STILL absolutely loves it! When it came in the mail, I thought no way was she going to like it because it was nearly as big as she was but it's her favorite! Thanks to whoever that was!! And Villette, almost every time I use the ice-on-ice on Tatum, I think of you doing the splits!!:D :D It actually got me too when I first started using it... even though you had just posted about your splits ordeal, I didn't think about it and sprayed it on a linoleum floor. DO NOT do that!! So now, I always flash on you (and me) do the slippy-slide on "ice"! :D |
Here's what did or did not work for me after reading the hype here on YT: Ice on Ice :thumbdown Chicken Soup Food:thumbdown Merrick's Food :thumbdown CC gold brush  Cowboy Majic  Yorkie Yummies  Silk Dubonie Step in Harness  Kongs  Merrick's Texas Toothpicks  Bully sticks  The number one best product advice I got here on YT talk was purchasing a flea comb to help get rid of the eye buggers! Sure helps with the grooming. As far as food goes, I gave up trying the find the 6star foods and resigned to finding one that my furkids would actually eat! |
