True Confessions OK, we all know there's no such thing as an 'ugly' Yorkie. :D We know this, if we've spent even one day on YT, as each one is cuter than the last! But... I thought this might be interesting for those of us who don't have 'show' quality furkids. Please don't throw stones at me for 'fault' finding! :p What is one thing you would consider a 'fault', and would change if you could? I know a showman could find numerous 'faults' with my abbie; but, the thing that stands out to me is her tail. It looks like it was an afterthought. lol Like it was tacked on after she was 'done'. It's positioned too low, so even when she is excited and holds it up, it doesn't present like a Yorkie's should. Anyone else up for 'confessing' that your furbaby's not (gasp!) poifect? |
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, my Tucker is 100% perfect of course, but if I could change anything about him physically, I'd would of liked his coat to have grown faster and longer. I loved his coat color and texture but I wished it was a little longer. |
Great name by the way. My Abbie's 18 wks and my Reesie is 1 yr. Abbie's grandparents were show dogs and I think she is just precious but if I could change something it would be her ears. I hope she grows into them. My Reesie is 10 lbs with a wooly coat and floppy ears. Not exactly show quality but I wouldn't change a thing. She is so intelligent and was very easy to housebreak. I think I am very lucky to be able to experience both ends of the spectrum. |
I wish Cali had a silkier coat but she is perfect to me. |
1 Attachment(s) I can be honest - Chanel is a bit larger than I expected but due to her size - I have the BEST jumper - water maniac and total tomboy - she's a total blast to be around - she is practically human :D - I would never let Cheri do the things she does - Cheri is a bit too skittish in temperment - I wish she was more into eye contact but she's a total mommies girl and a bit overshadowed by her sister so I understand her being a bit shyer... The other fault is Chanel just has too much HAIR lol - but I love it and it's worth all the work Here's my little flying Walenda lol - |
I wish Jewels hair didnt matt |

I'm guessing this would disqualify my Mia from a dog show, but her nose isn't completely black. She has a cute, light brown spot on the top and I always loved it about her. But some of the other common things I would change is the hair matting and her eyes watering too much. |
I would change morgans cotton coat to a silky coat. *sigh* its such a pain in the butt |
the back of Lillies ears has a small spot that the hair is not growing in, I would change that. I would also change that she goes on her potty pad 100% of the time lol other then that, my baby is pawfect! |
The hair on the top of Adie's head is still thin. I'm hoping it will thicken up a bit when she is older. She also has a fontanel that I would dearly love to see close. Still waiting! |
My Bengi barks at people and dogs. He's so sweet at home, but when at stranger gets close, he barks and barks :( |
OK, BEFORE I even begin, PLEASE KNOW! Tootie is the most precious thing in the world and I wouldnt trade him for anything in the world! My perfect yorkie: He is 16 lbs, has cottony/curly (short) hair-easy, BIG, floppy ears, precious, didnt get any middle teeth in his mouth, AND thinks he is a WOLF! LOL I truly love this boy... but wow, what a perfect yorkie, huh? HAHA Hopey, well, she is perfect too... I wish she were a little bit bolder, she is a BIG SCAIRDY CAT.... and way to spoiled.... d - I DO own the most perfect yorkies in the world! |
My girls have many "faults", but they're perfect to me:) The only things that I'd change would be for Izzy to not be so hard to potty train and for Luna to not be so agressive:laugh: She's a little fireball! Quote:

I have 2 teapots with floppy ears and I love them to death and would not change a thing about their looks BUT ... I would change Max's potty training difficulties...he knows that he's not supposed to go in the house but he will (especially if it's raining or snowing outside) if you don't take him out every hour. He's typically fine when someone is home because he'll let us know that he needs to go outside but he has to be crated when nobody is home otherwise he'll go to the bathroom on the floor. (And it's not a physiological thing because he's fine in his crate--NEVER any accidents--it's Max's stubbornness) The thing that I wish I could change re: Abbie is that she is HORRIBLE in the car. She does not get motion sickness but get so anxious in the car that she makes herself sick. Trips in the car under 10 minutes are ok--anything over 10 minutes requires medication, otherwise, she'll vomit all over herself :( |
i have been told that kirby ears are too big and his snout is too long. i still love him. if i were want to change anything is.....thicker coat and for it to grow faster |
The only thing (if that) that I would change is his coat to grow faster and fuller. He has a true silky coat but it's thin............I am sure he will turn into a swan when he becomes an adult :D It's like the curly/straight hair dilemma............I have naturally curly hair and of course, wish I had straight.............anyone else :D |
Looks wise I think my boys are beautiful! There is nothing I would change about thier looks, BUTTTTT (alway a but) I wish they were BOTH more house broken! They refuse to learn!! I wish Fletch would stop jumping off the back of the couch! He makes me soooo worried with all these stories about how easy it is for him to break a leg and he jumps from the back of the couch 200x a day and I can't get him to stop! My dexter, hes soo out there! most of the time hes in la-la land doing his own thing randomly, he's absolutely adorable and hes a cuddle bug! well there ya go... sometimes a little TOOOO cuddly! OH yeah, and hes a HUGE begger! He begs for things that are not even edible, and he'll hear the package from the other end of the house. Like last night he begged for a lightbulb! :D crazy boy! And the car... he hates the car and cries LOUDLY over the radio the ENTIRE ride! |
I LOVE everything about Rocky! But sometimes I think he's roach back, and I wish he would learn that he's supposed to poop outside! Not by mommy's closet:mad: |
Thanks, everyone! Quote:

I often look at Buddy and think why was he not smaller! He really does have perfect ears, his color is pretty, his bite is absoultely perfect and his teeth really white (we brush) he has a silky coat and always smells so yummy however he is built like a bull dog! Really strong and muscular weighing in at 13.5lbs. I know there are others teapots here but are they "BUILT" like Bud? I grab his rear legs at times and tell him he has turkey legs. There's lots of meat on them.:D He's fully trained and smart as they come. The build is something else. Certainly not small boned and petite by any means.;) But he's my Bud and I love him to death. and Abbie's mom - VERY GOOD multi-tasking there girl ...wow - I'm impressed ...that had to take a bit of thinking and time - lol - how cute you answered everyone   The Flying Walenda says thank you very much ! Actually her name is 'Air Chanel' but she didn't want to take anything away from the REAL Air Jordan - she's being humble |
mine has a small underbite and sometimes when hes been sleeping and i go turn on the light he looks up at me and he looks like the joker from batman, dont ask me how but he does. |

I would want Albert's coat to grow faster and longer. It grows so slow but i am glad that his coat is silky and not cottony. |
I was looking for a companion and not a show dog, so Rosie is just perfect for me. However, anyone that wanted to show dogs would not have chosen her. She has an arch back. I think her ears are like the standard. I don't know if the rest of her meets the standard. She also has ADD so I think she would be distracted the entire time. |

The only way she looks at the camera is to hold a treat. :p |
