Should I get Another Yorkie??? - YorkieTalk.com Forums

My Tia Maria is now 9 months...very active, somewhat defiant, but overall so adorable! Her mother just had babies again and I'm thinking of taking one of the males. I think it would be good for Tia - give her something to focus on other than my cats and 12 year old Sheltie. Anyone have thoughts or experiences on multiple yorkies? Thanks!

If you think it would be good for tia maria and your family, I say go for it! Also, it would be so adorable, they would be related!

i feel i am in the same place as you

Layla's babysitter is a dog trainer and she said to wait until layla is over a year to bring a new member into our family... i say go for it! i want to get another for layla... i want her to have company.. but then the other part of me doesn't want her to feel left out when everyone oos and ahhs over the new puppy... it's a big issue in our house but i think i'm leaning towards another one... good luck... keep us updated!

I am very happy I chose to have two... they truly love each other and are really no more trouble than one(except that Hope is spoiled ROTTEN) and Tootie kinda goes with the flow... LOL
I say, go for it... and I think it is better for them to grow up together than to put them together after one has had time to be totally spoiled!

I agree with everyone, if you can afford it and have the time, definitely get another one!! Carley is the best thing we ever did for Cooper!! I will always have two from now on.

YES! I have 3!!!!!!! All about the same age! They all have soooo much fun together and love to play and cuddle! It would be good for your puppy! They tend to wear each other out and love to chase each other!!! Go for it, as long as you can afford it and all that good stuff!!!!

I got Venus last August, when Adonis was 5. I was really worried about how he'd react, since he's been my "only child" for so long.

He took to her from day 1! I saw him running around the back yard trying to get her to chase him, like I'd never seen him run before!

Really made me wish I'd got him a playmate a long time ago.

I say go for it!
