yeah I know there are bigger issue here and what I am saying is this... If you cannot stand up to your husband on this and do the right thing then you need to get the dogs fixed and SELL THEM TO BETTER HOMES. If you love them and are looking out for there best interest and your husband wants to be a heartless, greedy, selfish, sob then sell them to someone else then risk there lives and well being and don't get another animal ever. |
i agree its not your fault i agree with everyelse please spay her quickly ! |
well the fight is on ... i told him i wasn't breeding my dog . he is mad but i will be standing my gorund with him .. im not chancing her life for a dollar just to make he butt happy . thank you all for the information . Im am sorry if i bothered anyone :aimeeyork i told him i want to get her fixed so we will see what he has to say when he gets home from work . |
you could tell him your paying him back by not kicking his dumb a** out. just a suggestion. |
I am so happy you made the right decision. I would try and find a way to pay him back for the puppies, part time job, etc so that you have total control of those babies. I hope you stick around you will learn so much from here and make many friends who like you love their babies. |
Be careful Do you have kids? A job? This thread makes me nervous for you...... "wait till he gets home" does not sound good.... I hate to ask....but he is not "mean" to you is he???? Quote:

I don't hate you. You were smart enough to seek out information and ask questions. You have decided not to breed your little one and stand up to a husband that doesn't feel the love you do. Nuff said? BUT: Make the jerk buy you a full grown 8 lb yorkie for breeding if he is so set on it! |
could it be that this person is just trying to see what we all have to say!!!!!!!!!! Some of the other yorkie sites are having this same kind of postings by people that claim to be "new' but they were found out. Sorry if I'm wrong but something about this post just isn't right. |
JUST LET HIM KNOW IF YOU DO THIS.....YOU STAND A CHANCE OF LOSING YOUR DOG AND THE PUPPIES SO HE WONT GET HIS MONEY ANYWAY! please do it the right way.....ck and see if their are any studs in your area. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE wait til at least the 2nd heat cycle. their bodys (especailly being so small) are not mature. LIKE OTHERS HAVE SAID BEFORE.......LET YOUR HUSBAND READ ALL OF OUR RESPONSES. you have a lot of experience people here so they know what they are talking about. |
:animal-pa no my husband is not mean to me. he just trys to be the boss about the money... and for the one that thinks that i do this all the time im not sure what your talking about but im am not a fake im am new here and was truely looking for advice. not to sure what websites and people your talking about. Im a stay at home mom with five kids . im in school to become a preschool teacher. And I do love my yorkies :aimeeyork |
jm2c------------------ You *can* breed her. Look at 2 and 4 lb Chihuahua's doing it all the time. DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD however! There are sooooo many risks that come w/ breeding a small breed, let alone the smaller they are. So, the theory I propose is this....what if you did breed her to a better suited size male and something happened and she didn't survive and neither did any of the puppies? It's a realistic possibility. If YOU aren't wanting to do this and it wasn't your intentions....you're only doing it for your husband. DON'T. These are all the wrong reasons. You will no doubt feel terrible if the above happened, but moreso because it's not what you had intended to do w/ her. Breeding isn't just about putting two dogs together and letting nature take it's course and in 58-63 days *bam* you have a litter...it's not...not w/ Yorkies and small breeds especially. If he thinks he'll be getting $$ back, he is sorely mistaken. |
Honey I don't hate you... I feel sorry for you and the position you have been put in by your husband and the cost your dogs will have to pay for it. |
Brownie'smom, Are you the board enforcer or something? You seem to have it out for anyone who innocently makes a mistake or asks a question twice. People aren't perfect you know, and asking a question twice isn't a crime. With all due respect, have you taken your medication today? ;) |
Didn't you already ask some time ago about breeding your bigger male and smaller female?? I remember the advice you were given and it was the same as right now :( . Your male is almost twice the size of the female, she can die if there are complications with big puppies. |
blondflava....I think she did. May have been someone else. I don\'t care to search to find out. Point is, that it\'s not the best idea to be doing it, most especially for the reasons she\'s been given. |
