Makes you wonder doesn't it? Lucy holds a GRUDGE!:) She's 11 months old now, but a couple of months ago she got mad at my son because he made her go out of his room. (He was cleaning) She waited until later in the day then went in his room and peed on his shoes.:p Once before, she was pouty with me because I moved her to the other side of the bed during the night. She kept trying to go back to "her" side, but the fan was on and I didn't want her to get cold. Well, she got up during the night and pooped on my side of the bed. She hasn't done either again, so I'm sure she was just ticked because she didn't get her way:rolleyes: |
Mine never did poops on the bed, but they did both throw up at different times. I think that's worse. They had eaten mulch and that's what came up. I have a down comforter, so I understand. I clean it myself and then hubby took it to the cleaners. Maybe you could take it to the cleaners?? |
I wish I had some words of wisdom for you, but alas just as I was thinking Sissy was just about 100% outside trained, I was getting into bed for the evening and pulled the comforter up and she had peed on it!!! As our comforter is a duvet cover, it had to immediately be taken off so as not to soak into the down blanket. Well, when I took off the cover, I found some yellowish areas on the blanket that obviously were not fresh -so who knows how many times that happened and I just didn't know it!!!!! I couldn't keep it a secret as the hubby was right there. But, I did kind out put it on him cause he will put Sissy up on the bed and then go about doing stuff. So she most likely did this during one of those times when he should have instead been taking her out to potty!!! He will say, "Oh, in a minute" or when I come home from a class, "she hasn't been out in a while". He gets on the computer and totally spaces out!!! If you are not really watching her, she will go wherever, whenever!!! As I've said before, its a good thing they are so darn cute and it is easy to clean up after them!!!! |
I think this might always happen occasionally. I can't imagine anyone ever being in total charge of when I go to the bathroom..... allowing me a certain time and a certain place - and expecting me to follow this routine 100% of the time.... Our little dogs are not "machines." They are little animals. I am sure there are times they may not need to go to the bathroom when they usually do - and other times when they need to go all of a sudden. Your little puppy was just a little off schedule - and probably had to go all of a sudden - so she just went at a time and place that wasn't what you have programmed for her. As I said - I would expect this to happen occasionally - and would consider it normal. I really think that expecting 100% compliance from our little dog's with their bathroom habits is asking a little tooooooo much. We need to allow for a few exceptions now and then. Carol Jean |
Oh what us devoted mommys will do!!:p Occasionally Pete will have an accident and I will clean it up quickly before my boyfriend or roommate notice. I know they wouldnt be mad, but I just don't want them to think he isnt perfect:D . Because in my eyes he will always be perfect:) :) :) . Sincerely, Crazy Yorkie Mom |
I see the light . . . . Well, Annika was really good this early morning as there was not a trace of POOP on my duvet cover (Jodie, I have the same as you - so I need to wash it tonight)  Well, we really did not go to bed the usual time last night as I was waiting for my daughter (who's flight got cancelled and so she had to rebook and ended up coming home at 1:30am  instead of 10:30pm as scheduled) to come home. I also decided to get one blanket of hers (she and Tiger has tons) and put it on the area where she has had 2 consecutive accidents. When I woke up this AM, it was clean :p And like clockwork, she did poop when I took her to the laundry room, where she normally does her business . . .I hope no more accidents :) Oh, Myka was supposed to sleep with her last night but since she came home really late, I decided she needed tons of rest and might not be able to wake up in case Annika needed to go. |
Des, do you think Annika could've been upset because you were sick? Has she had accidents on the bed before when you've been ill? Our babies are sensitive to our moods and feelings and I wonder if this might've had something to do with it. Just a thought.. Hope you're feeling better.:) Karen |
