people like that are the reason we get dogs, because dogs are faithfull and full of love for us and everyone else except for the bad people who ring the doorbell :) but we turn to our animals cause they love us and listen to us and keep us warm and they never complain, i wish those people that have nothign better to do with their time then talk about people need to go swallow their pride and then choke on it till they turn blue so we can laugh and talk about them, they are just jeoulous caus ethey dont have pup/dogs like us anyway, huuuuum
ps where can i find a doggie stroller?

Some people should just mind their own business if the don't have something nice to say. Before I was afraid of getting bad comments if I took Bengi wearing clothes or in the carrier. I just don't care about them anymore. If you walk and don't look at their eyes, probably they won't talk to you, but if they do, keep the nice comments and ignore the rude ones.

Most of the time people say rude things b/c they are just jealous, if you can't say anything nice they shouldn't say anything at all.
Unfortunetly it's a material world......I have friend's with dog strollers and they get weird comments all the time too! Yorkie's are status symbols it's no secret how much they cost and to see one in a Stroller is even more odd.
I get alot of comments when I dress them too!
I think people should mind their own business, just ignore them? I usually crack a joke or a smart remark back at least it makes me feel better.

Last week, I took the 'kids' (yorkie and poodle) out to take pictures with Santa at the mall............well, I dressed them up and was quite excited until a couple behind us, who were talking in English were saying that I probably stole it as they laughed.....because obviously I am poor.

I know I was in the fancy part of town, and that I am not of their status........but really, it hurt my feelings. I had to bite my tongue to say something back (they assumed I spoke no English since my husband and I were speaking spanish).

Yorkies are definitely a status symbol in many areas. Here, you cannot get one for less than 2K ( and that is pushing it). By the way, I left and went to Petsmart instead and got them more toys :p

That is the rudest comment I have ever heard made. What snobs! If it were me I would have had to say something back

Jessy - That was EVIL of them to say ...and worse - they said it loud enough that you heard them. :( Oh man - I wish I was with you - I couldn't keep quiet for that kind of comment & don't you DARE think you aren't as good as anyone else - It just goes to show you that a person can have all the money they need ...and still be a total JERK.

did you get your pictures taken at least ???

That's sad! I guess the people who make the rude comments don't know how to enjoy themselves! Obviously your fur baby was cute in the stroller! They must have been jealous!

On another note. Dogs are so popular here, in Japan, I see several dog strollers a day! :animal36 So, the "meaness" isn't universal!:animal36

No, we left. That is why I can't see the day I graduate and speed out of here soon enough! I have had bad experiences out east and I want to go back home (out west) or somewhere in between :(

Maybe this is part of the reason why I am depressed half of the time........it's hard to 'fit in' around here. People blame it on the weather :confused:

Girl - you don\'t have to FIT in anywhere - just be you - that\'s good enough...I said it before and will say it again - money doesn\'t make anyone a better person. People like that suck.

I wish I had been there with you to open up my New York mouth to those snobs! Sounds like they were racists too.
People can really hurt you without giving a damn. I don\'t blame you for leaving - you were probably overwhelmed, but do go take those pictures another time. They will make you happy.

I have to admit, I was one of those rude people about dog strollers until recently. I was in a pet store and said to the salesperson that I just don\'t get the dog stroller thing - Isn\'t it silly? Aren\'t dogs supposed to get exercise? He explained to me that they\'re actually very good for several reasons - first of all, you can go shopping with your dog, second of all, these little dogs get really tired from too much walking and third of all, in the cold or the heat, they\'re a life saver for tiny dogs who really can\'t take severe weather. Well live and learn! So, please forgive me all of you pet stroller owners for my judgemental thoughts. I have been enlightened and will probably have to get one for the summer.

SOrry Jessy that ignorant people have to exist. I\'ve heard pretty bad things said about me as well. MY BF actually works in the "richer" part of CT and I can see the snobiness.

The thing is, I had a bad attitude and an smart mouth so once I say something, its OVER! I guess I get that from living in NY but I think there\'s always a time where you have to teach people a lesson. I\'m glad you left because I dunno if I would\'ve.
