Adonis has always got them. I call them boogers. And if you don't get his every night, they will build up. I use a warm washcloth every night, then a flea comb to get the rest out. |
Me too... I use the warm wash rag and just hold it on her eye area for a few seconds (while I'm talking to her) and then wipe down her beard on that same side. I like the metal flea comb... the plastic one seemed to tug on Mia's hair. But I do her teeth, face and private areas - daily. |
He's letting me touch his face, but as I am messing with the "boogers" lol, he is becoming resistant. This is harder than I thought.:( |
I bought a supplement called Angel's Eyes from my groomer. Her Maltese used to have the icky red-stained under her eyes, but now they're gone. It's actually just freeze-dried beef liver, ground up. I found some treats that are just the liver cubed, so I'm going to try grinding those up in the food processor and see if I can get the same powdery consistancy. If it works, it's a lot cheaper to buy the treats;) The stuff does work for Luna, btw, cuz she had icky rusty eye goo and now it's just clear and very light:thumbup: . I hardly have to do her eyes at all anymore, and it was B A D before. Izzy's eyes are pretty clear already, but she gets Angel's too anyway:) |
I too had a very hard time with this Peeka's face is so tiny nothing worked for me but we did find a trick i use a regular hair comb when i am bathing him i get the area wet an gantly comb them out it works every time he gets them bad so this was the easiest method for us |
I take a make-up cotton moistened in warm water and hold it the eye buggers to loosen them up. Then put the flea comb through it. Works every time. I learned this trick from another YT member. I would have to say that this is the single most useful tip I learned on YT! |
