|  No Christmas present for Pepper Well, I've been thinking that he has so much stuff already, does he really need new bed or carrier or blankets or clothes... I decided to donate the money I'd spend on him to an animal shelter and take him for a long walk with play time instead (he'll be more happy about it anyways  ). But it's going to be hard to steer away from all those cute dog things LOL. Anyone else thought of doing this? I think our babies are beyond spoiled anyway... and there are so many poor neglected ones out there.

I may do that myself - I don't spend alot on Christmas for the girls (cause I can't at this time) ....but I sure would love to offer what I would spend to the shelters - Thank you for the great idea - maybe we'll do the walk in the park closeby my house - because of bigger dogs I never take the girls there - but it's COLD and maybe this is the perfect time to visit. Thank you and what an awesome post you just did  We DO overspend on our dogs and what a nice way of giving back to those that need it most. |

| That is a wonderful idea! I think I will put my fur kids' stockings up and put a few treats in each, and then tell them what Santa is doing for those less well off.

| What a wonderful good-hearted idea! I have already got a little something for mine but I will make sure to remember the shelter as well. DH takes them food every so often.

| Great idea and that is wonderful of you to do. We were thinking about asking people to donate to the aspca in our name......... I think little Pepper will need something too though!

| What a wonderful idea!!! Toto has more clothes than she will ever, ever wear .... about 10 beds .... and 2-3 baskets of every toy out there and duplicates for the TotoMobile [Motorhome] and at our home in Alabama! There isn't a single thing that she wants or needs! Donations are a great idea!!

| my dogs are getting just a little stuffed stocking with a few treats in them for Christmas. The money I donated is to a charity for kids that other wise won't get anything for Christmas and, also a few names from the angel trees are another thing to buy for. I love kids and I hate when kids dont get any Christmas. Its what I seem to enjoy doing best. give to others as I really dont need or want anything I can think of and hubby or our dogs dont, but hubby and I will still get something for each other. Once I get my son and his family what I want to get them then helping the children who are less fortunate makes me feel good.
