fingers crossed for annie
 

hi everyone as some of you know annie is not well and is off in a few hours for her thyroid and cushings tests so please keep your fingers crossed for her. im hoping she has got a problem with her thyroid so at least she can be treated, if its cushings its not so good as she already has the neurological problems so she wouldnt have much time left bless her:(

What an angel face!!! Prayong for the best possible results. As you know I am waiting on Maya's more complex Thyroid tests, but I am relieved she didn't have Cushings.

Thinking about you Annie...

hi everyone and thankyou for annie and i.for those of you that dont know what happen to annie i will start from the begining. the beginging of september annie had a head tilt, balance problem and her eyes were flickering up and down so off to the vet where he said she had had a stroke (annie is just 6) gave her meds said come back in a month.
3 days later she was fine back to normal but in some ways even better than normal as she was playing none stop.
that lasted till 3 days b4 going back to the vet were she started to have flickery eyes again balance problems and kept bumping in to things.
back to the vet and he found a bad tooth at the very back of her mouth so said an infection could be pushing on her eardrum so gave her meds and said come back friday and he would take it out and do an xray.
annie now could not hold her head up, walk, stand, sit up,.
annie then had a reaction to the meds so back to the vet where he said she was blind in one eye and gave more meds.
annie had her tooth out and xray and it showed nothing.
back to vets last monday and i asked them to do a thyroid and cushings test as her symptoms can be caused by them.
today she had the blood test so now im waiting till tuesday for the results.
annie can now sit up, stand, and walk one step b4 falling over, she can walk if you hold her under her tummy, she can also hold her head up.
annie isnt in pain so thats one thing but its just like having a baby who is learning how to do things again and at the mo she crawls.
her voice has changed and she now does this funny noise that sounds like she says I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU over and over again and if my partner or i have been out the room for a while she says HELLO HELLO over and over.
we cant leave her at all as she just crys, she crys for food, drink, wee wee, poo poo or cuddle. we are also sleeping in shifts so someone is always awake with her as shes started having fits nearly every time she goes to sleep and she cant have any meds till the blood test comes back. :aimeeyork

thankyou everyone. my partner has just gone out to get some light weight wood to make annie a walking frame so we can help her to walk, hes such a sweetheart and to think he never liked yorkies untill he met my lot and now they are his babies lol.

Thank you so much for the update on Annie. She sounds like such a little sweetheart. I am so happy for you that you have a wonderful partner to help you and Annie ... he sounds very kind and compassionate. I am so sorry she is ill but it sounds like she is getting excellent care. We will be praying that she will be better soon.

Poor Annie baby! It literally brought tears to my eyes reading this. I just remember when my little boy got fixed and he cried for a full day how sad I was for him, I couldn't imagine this and not knowing how to make her 100% better NOW! My prayers are with you & Annie! I hope to hear good news from you on tuesday with the test results! Good Luck with her! She is soooo very precious!

thankyou everyone. annie is not good today shes very weak, we took her to a different vet today and he said he thinks its cushings and that the tumor has got so big its causeing all her problems:( i asked him about the test the pdsa have done on her blood for cushings and he said they havent done the test right as i was right that they should of kept her in and done 2 blood tests so he said to get the blood test results on tuesday then take them to him and he will do a cushings test and we will have the results that night,
if the tumor has got that big there is only a couple of things we can do , 1 try meds to see if it helps her,but its not likely. 2 mri scan then radio, but that would be 1000s that i dont have and it would at best give her 3 to 6 months more but she would then just go through all this again and have pain.
3 have her pts:( what my partner and i have said we will do is do the test see if it is cushings and if it is then try meds, if they dont work then we will have to have her pts so she doesnt suffer anymore:( if it comes back its not cushings then it will def be a tumor that no one can do i thing about so we would have to have her pts:( i want to do all i can for her but i dont want her to suffer just so i dont have to go through the pain of losing her.
