I forgot to ask you in one of my earlier posts...Do you free feed him/them?

I feel bad for you. I have only one dog and he did get aggressive with me a couple of weeks ago when I went to pick up his food bowl after he ate. He is 2 1/2 yrs. I backed up so fast. He went right for me! I freeked and ordered Cecear Milan's DVD'S. I have always made him sit before he is feed so I don't know what went through his head. I am trying to show him I control the food and I am boss. I no longer give him food when he begs for it as I cut up the chicken. I also make him sit and stay and look at me directly in the eye before I allow him to eat. I have had no problem since but I am on guard now.
I imagine with more than one dog it can be a problem. Is it possible to feed the dogs in seperate rooms? I do that when I have my daughter's pug just in case. When they are done I remove the gate and both run to each others bowl and finish what the other one left. No fights. Good luck and I hope you can work it out and keep your baby. Carol & Buddy

Thanks for all those tips i will deff try them out..remmie is only agressive around food, jayson (unforunately) will drag remmie off the sofa, pull his hair. and climb all over him and remmie just wags his tail and kisses him. he really is a good dog, just misunderstood..lol

A behaviorist that I hired to help out with Max told me to do some of the things you mentioned. She said no free feeding because they control the food and YOU need to control when it's coming. She also said that "nothing in life is free"--they need to earn EVERYTHING! They had to sit before getting food from me, sit before getting harnesses on, sit for toys, etc.

Tammy8833-Maybe try a few things to show him that you are in charge and maybe he won't be so aggressive around his food.
