				   | Jewels got her distemper/parvo combo shot today and is having a reaction. She had this before and did okay. Today she is shaking, she yelps in pain when you pick her up, so she is hiding under the chair. I don't know what to do except watch and see if it gets any worse. Is there anything I can give or do for her??? I'm scared shes my little angel and I don't like to see her in pain.

				   | Gawsh, I am so sorry BUT you must pick her up to make sure there are no hives on her body. If so, she could have them inside too. Did you call the vet who gave the shot? Ask if they put Lepto in the vaccine or Corona.. Ask if you can give her 1-2mgm of Benadryl per kilo body weight. Reactions to vaccines are not something you can mess with. These babies can become sensitized after the first shot. Maybe the vet would want to see her and give her steroids. ANYWAY, Get in touch with your vet and in the meantime, check her tummy and ears for hives. They are easier seen there.. Sorry if I am sounding alarming but, well, I AM!! |

				   | Thanks for listening everyone!!!! Thanks to Whispersmom and Socalyorkilvr for your advice and kind comments. Jewels is doing better now. The vet said to give her benadryl and watch her. She is not shaking anymore and has eat for mme. Shes also a less sensitive about being touched. Shes just resting. Again thanks for listening. This kinda caught me off guard since Chachi had his rabies today I expected him to be the one to have a reaction. He did fine.
