Though his parents were both 6lb-ers, my Sully is now 10 pounds. I fought disappointment with this for a while....though I NEVER regret getting him, Sully is the light of my life, but anyway....I still take him everywhere! He loves his carrier and to be honest, I don't even notice me thinking he's any sort of burden. We go where we go, when we go, and we love it! :) |
While Sailor does get heavier quicker than Magic....we still take her with us! But since we purchased a stroller life is great......it is so easy to take both of them!! I truely believe the stroller and car seats are the 2 best investments we have made since our best investment ever which was Magic & Sailor! |

I have never intended to take my dogs with me everywhere I go. But, when I go places they can go, I take them. My Yorkie is 12+ pounds, and there is no way I would want to haul him around in a carrier. And - my Bichon weighs 24 pounds. When we go out and around, they ride in their carseats - and then it's on the leash for them. But, as I said I only take them where they are welcome. My dogs do get out quite a bit. They both have occasional sleepovers with friends and relatives - which they love. They also visit friends, relatives, and neighbors with me. They go on walks in the park - and have spent many weekends at the lake. They even occasionally go to work to visit (if I'm only going to be there for an hour or so.) So -- they do get out and around. My dogs don't mind staying at home at all. They have done it since I got them, and they have never whinned or cried when I leave. When I get ready to leave for work -- my little Yorkie runs and jumps in his bed....he gets ready to take his first nap of the day. I have certainly never had any separation anxiety issues - and I am glad for this after hearing some of the problems that many of you have. Good luck - Carol Jean |
