 I think it varies from place to place. I do know that I would put back everything that I was purchasing if I was told to leave, even if I had finished paying for it. That is one sell they would loose. We should start boycotting stores!!! Yeah!! Let our babies in! Anyway I have never had a problem from anyone but Walmart, and yet people can beg money(not referring to Salvation army and such) from you when you go in and out, I find that more annoying than seeing a pet in there. |
Our target (and most other retailers) have the sign posted that says "service animals only." It's just the new day and times I guess...Pets and food products just don't mix. Whether you agree or not, It is what it is. If you can get away with it, I say go for it! But don't be surprised if the store asks you to leave. |
Heck I can't even take a Yorkie in a stroller in the store and I can't leave him alone because of his medicail condition. Babybear is the little one still recovering from the broken neck. I almost lost him twice with him not breathing I am not going to take a chance of it happening again. Any Ideas please on letting the stores let him in???? Val and Babybear. |
My first store with Tank was Target. I had heard about people being kicked out so I just hoped he would be quiet and calm for me. No one even knew he was there. Just be prepared to get the boot if you get caught. |
I was asked to leave Wal-mart, I think that sucks. |
the ones here in my town in south Fl doesnt allow dogs |
It really makes me mad that the stores forbid our small furkids to come in, being carried, in a bag or stroller, etc. They let toddlers in there, and everyone here knows that they carray all kinds of germs, lol! |
that's true... Quote:

it is true I don't know about target however there is a resturant in eastern pa that allows dogs. I think we should all go and celebrate ! :D |
I have taken Abbey into Target several times. She is in her carrier and is very quiet. 2 employees did notice her one time when she was in a carrier that she could be seen easily but never asked us to leave. Now, when we go into stores, I keep her in a carrier that more resembles a purse. She never makes a sound and is very still. We have also taken her into restaurants. (we keep the carrier on the sear beside us and usually sit close to an exit in case we have to leave... have never been asked to leave, but I doubt anyone knew she was there) Some casual restaurants do allow pets. One at resort area allows any dog. People bring their larger dogs there and they just lie on the floors by their owners. I have only been there a few times but our friends go regularly and they encouraged us to go. I think it depends on the management of the store or restaurant. We are lucky that Abbey is so small and so quiet. Always give it a try! Ellie |
