Eek, a mouse! So for THREE DAYS Eddie has been barking at the back of the couch. I figured a toy fell under there, so each day I tipped the couch upside down and looked. Nothing. Nothing. WTH? Today when I tipped it over, a mouse hopped out and ran into the kitchen. Of course, Eddie didn't see him leave, so he will probably be barking at the couch in perpetuity. I do give him credit for noticing it, though. That's one of the drawbacks to living in snow country. The mice are always trying to get inside. |
they try to get in down here also. this time of year I have to have the de con out or the mice come in.. |
What?!!!! No action picture of the mouse...You're slipping!!!!! |

I'm surprised he didn't try to get back there to get the mouse! |
Doesn't Eddie know that Yorkies are supposed to be ratters and get rid of these things?!?! |
We had a mouse run up into the couch. My dog Haggis must of injured it some how, but we couldn't find it for the longest time until we smelled it. It had died in the couch!! ooohhh gross!!   |

WHAT??? Do you live in the woods? We didn't have mice in Fairbanks so my first experience was when I moved here. Freaking gross, I'd rather have a snake wrapped around my head! |

LOL, actually, I think they're called voles, but they look and act creepy like mice! |
Who cares what they are called, they are creepy little rodents with beady eyes and long tails and I cannot tell you how much they creep me out! I'm grossed out for you~ewwwww ewwwwwww and ewwwwwwwwwww I hope it left your house and you are all safe from the gross-ness :) |
Oh Yeah! Mouse???? Well let me tell you what happened to us last night. We have a pool cage that is surrounded by plants. Well Toby had been barking and jumping at the bushes by the door several times over the past several weeks. I thought he's goofy, what's he know! Well, last night, I was taking the kids out to potty and I was standing by the door bracing it open with my back and I felt something go across my foot. I looked cause I thought it might be a frog. Looked on the lani and saw nothing. The dogs finished up and when I walked by a container we keep our chemicals for the pool, I heard something move. I put the dogs inside and got a flashlight, went back out and it was a R-A-T, a big, fat, ugly, hairy RAT!!!!   Rushed to get the husband and we looked for it and it had moved to the other side of the lani and when it saw my husband and me with the flashlight, it came running out!!!!  My husband jumped, I jumped and fell backwards over the chair and wound up on my behind:( I'm a little sore but I made out better than the RAT, he's six feet under. UGH UGH........but I am so proud of my little boy,:D he came through for us, we just didn't listen! |
Well I am sure Eddie or Jack would have done their varmint extermination a job well done. I am sure they would have turn that poor thing apart. I know if my girl ever comes across one of them things it stands no chance, she would be done with it in no time. It would just make her day.:animal36 |
Way to go Eddie. !!!!! Mike I love the moose pic. :) Yorkies are very smart. |

If it were me, I'd have to get rid of the couch. I could never sit on it again. |
hehehe, Katy did that last winter. We had a mouse on the window sill outside looking in. From that point on she barked at the corner wall (maybe it found a way in). Quote:

And rmkc, I use traps and put them out of reach of my dogs. I'd be afraid of d-con, but I suppose I could put some in the basement... |

Seriously, hubby does pest control on his days off from the fire station so he puts bait out for them (not in places our furbabies could ready) - usually up in the attic. We don't have a real mouse problem but living in the country, surrounded by woods, it is inevitable we get at least one a year! |
