Dixie says "Grrrr-uff! I will chase mices for you, Eddie! I is a ace number one mouse catcher!" I have had to remove a Mouse from Dixie's mouth - all that was hanging out was the tail and back legs. If she could have I'm sure she would have swollowed it! |
Geepers, all my babies have cornered around here is a tree frog! :D :D |
The mice are starting to move closer to the houses here in the midwest too. I let my kids out the other day and one of my cats had caught a mouse. She was throwing it up in the air and having a blast with it ! Until my little male yorkie Rudy went and took it from her! Then he headed up the steps to the front door and thought that I was going to let him bring his new found friend in to the house. NO WAY! I confiscated it and thank goodness it was already dead. |
Speaking of a varment , we had a baby mole or something mouse like in our house I walked in my spare room and it was just standing there so I ran and got a cat good thinkin huh ,, while Miss Mini watched ..the cat wanted to sleep and then finally I saw that Miss Monet was watching the mouse like creature which had me nuts haha if only we had video it would of won funniest home videos .Finally Dad arrived home and scooped up the little crature and returned it unharmed to nature ,then poured me a drink to re coop from my trama ..haha |
I find the electric mousetraps to work great! They are about $20 and can be used over again. They run on batteries and once the mouse gets inside, it is electrocuted...no mess to clean up!! Bait it with Peanut Butter...works great! |
we have used doritos as bait too!! Good luck getting rid of your mouse!! |

Never heard of those traps before. May have to look into them. We live in the country and when the farmers are out in the fields, the mice start coming in. My hubby sets the D-con under the house in the crawl space. If he does that in time...we never see a mouse. This year he was late and we've caught two in a trap with peanut butter. Last fall, I kept hearing things in our furnace vents. Finally my husband went under the house and found that there was a hole in one of them. He set a live trap and caught 2 rats!!!! If they had gotten into my house I would have just gone nuts. They are now in rat heaven. |
my little killer! we have mice in our apt. b/c when hurrican Katrina hit, a tree fell on our apt. in the back corner. Well, this happened before we moved in & the brick just got put back on it a couple of weeks ago!!!Needless to say, that let the mice in & my little Ginger just noticed in the last several weeks that we have them!! A couple of Saturdays ago, I get out of the shower, & she is cowering like she did something wrong. I go to see what she did & there is a mouse behind her, dead on the floor! I was so excited & I made a big deal out of it, so she would know that it's okay to kill them! A few minutes later, after calling my mom to tell her what happened, the mouse was gone. I look up in the chair, & there is the mouse. She had put it up there to play with it, like she does all of her other "toys". I even took a pic of it to prove to my hubby what she did, but I haven't put it on the computer yet! I was such a proud mama, even though it is gross! |
