Maybe the news paper would like to hear about your story..... Debbie Ray |
Tracy, if she is pushing this far, requesting all those records. The quicker you move the better. I think the suggestion of having some kind of media jump in might bring attention to the situation and may bring out others who have had their pets mistreated by this vet. Which might be good for you if she is trying to do something to your pet. It is good that your vet clinic is backing you up. A medical emergency trumps a house arrest if that chip becomes a problem for him before the day he gets paroled!! :D Take care and I hope you find a solution. |

I hop all works out for you. Just be glad that he is ok now.:big_hug: :hug60: :big_hug: :hands: All will work out |
I am so glad your baby is doing well... and you ARE doing the right thing... turn her in! make anyone possible know what this CREATURE has done to your baby! That is just horrible! |
This is one of the most outrageous stories I've ever read here. I've been to some pretty impersonal vets, who treated my pets like they were "just animals", but your experience was just over and beyond anything reasonable. CRAZY!!!!!! I'm so sorry that happened. And you are in no way to blame. I know you must have just been in shock, and things were happening so fast...I'm sure you could hardly believe it was happening, much less going from bad to worse. I'm glad your regular vet is standing up for you! Continue to keep us updated! |
i hope your baby's ok and won't be traumatized scared of people/vets from this and i hope the mean vet that did that well something should make them at least understand that's not ok at all maybe was it a she is in the wrong line of buisness and needs to seriuosly make a careear change now! maybe you can notify the local humane society or animal law enforcement to let them know what's happening there..but i'm pretty sure this wasn't a 1 time incident with the way the "vet " acted i would just like to see her try that crap with a huge dog though! it kinda makes you wonder what's wrong with someone who would treat a small dog that way! well i hope all is ok for you and your yorkie though |
another quick update. I have emailed the OSPCA to see what they suggest I do to make a formal complaint, I am waiting to hear back from them. And I also sent a letter to the editor of our local newspaper this afternoon, hopefully I will hear something back from them. I'm also going to talk to my vet further about the Ontario Veterinarian College, she mentioned she might be able to open a complaint for me there. Oh and I talked to a Police Officer as well, but he said they couldn't do anything, I'd have to file a complaint with the Ontario Veterinarian College. Does anyone think I should write a letter to the Senior Vet who runs the vet office she works at? Thanks again for everyone's support, and suggestions! Tracy & Parker |

Good Luck |
i just read what happened to parker. i'm absolutely irate with this vet. i've worked with at least 10 vets in the past and none of them EVER behaved like this. This is how it should have went: the vet should have first calmly went up to parker to let him smell her and then she should have pet him alittle to calm him down. Then there should have been a tech there from the begining. The microchip needle is a 10 guage needle! to compare: your earrings are an 18 guage, imagine something wide enough to shot a grain of rice into your dog. My pup was microchiped while she was spayed and he still has a scab where the chip was planted. the injection point is clearly visible so you know it has to burt. anyway, the tech should have been properly restraining parker while the vet put in the chip. if he was restrained there would be no way he could have gotten nippy. From what you described the vet was very harsh to him. She should have let him go when you first said something. i would go to anyone and everyone who will hear you out. definately contact the head vet at the hospital she works out. she should be reported to her supervisor. i would contact the local news too once you get this settled so they can do a piece on how bad she is. i'm so sorry for parker. he must still be terrified. also the next time he goes to the vet he's probably gonna be so scared and his visit might not be as good as his pervious ones :( |
Poor Parker AND poor Tracy! I'm so sorry for both of you! Write letters and KEEP COPIES for yourself as backup. I'd turn her in to anybody who'd listen. I think you should contact a TV station to find out if they'd run a story about the "clinics" that are being run. |

well I'm sorry to hear about your incident. I hope he gets better soon and I sure would file a complaint with someone."-my first reply. The above was the second. I would like everyone to know that when I posted these replys I was simply trying to sympathsize with Parker. and I was trying to tame the rudeness that others had shown. I'm sorry if it came off wrong. I'm glad to hear Parkers back to himself. |
OMG! Poor Parker! If that Vet did that to MY yorkie.....they'd have to quarantine ME! Hugs to you and Parker.... Francie |
What a terrible ordeal for both of you! Was there anyone else behind you when all this was happening or were you in a closed room? I would definitly make any kind of complaint you can. This was no way to treat any animal yet alone a little dog. I would have loved to reached across that table and back handed her right across the face for doing that, but I know when it happens you just can't believe that someone would treat a dog like that, yet alone a vet! Give Parker lots of hugs and let him know that all people aren't as mean as that cruel vet:mad: ... |
