| extra wide gates Does anyone have an extra wide gate. 72 inches. I'm thinking about getting one. The one I'm considering is North States model 4649. Wal-Mart online has them for $46. |

| I have that one... The "doorway" I use it in is about 95"... It works pretty well, but if you have it stretched out to it's full length it wobbles a bit if anybody jumps up on it... It's mounted using medium sized eyelet screws (I don't know what the heck they're really called). You'll want to make sure they're anchored properly or they'll come right out of the drywall (I learned that the hard way)! Also, the spacing between the slats is about 3". Pixie (may she rest in peace) could squeeze her skinny little behind through it! Lot of good that did... I ended up getting some of that plastic lattice stuff and zip tieing it to the gate so she couldnt squeeze through. I can take pics of my handiwork and other close ups if you'd like... |

thank you. My doorway is 72 inches. if the screws aren't long enough to go into the wood, I'll get longer ones. It would be an improvement over the x-pen that I have across the door way right now. | |
