Holly is home!! Come on in and take a look!! 3 Attachment(s) She is heeeeeeeeeere!!! I thought she deserved her own thread even though I started a thread asking if it was a good idea to get an adult yorkie.. We went to see her today and she was soooooooooo beautiful... She was sooooooooooo afraid of us and the dogs. Reece being the puppy he is wanted to lick her and she wanted no part of it!! She showed her teeth to him lol...we went to the park after adopting her and let them really get to know each other and they had a really good time. I went and bought her a new matching torquoise w/ daisy collar and leash and found a daisy rhinestone charm to match...she was sooooooo proud walking around in her new duds!! She has NEVER been to a park or met another dog!! So she showed her teeth a bit when the dogs got a little too hyper with her. But her little tail wagged all day. We let her off leash and she ran circles!! She is sooooooooooooo much more beauitful in real life than in pictures!! She is much smaller in person too..hard to believe she is 8 pounds really. I have her pedigree and have no clue how to read it lol...be interesting to find out if anyone here has a relative of hers or not!!! Once we got home Holly got really scared and wont really come out of her crate..ill just let her be tonight as she is just so tired out from her big day that she is getting snappy...she even snapped at me but I think she is just soooooooooo tired out. I dont blame her for being scared. She went from an only dog home to a four dog home... I love her to bits and pieces already..she loves walks and car rides..so she will fit right in!! I am so glad I picked her over a puppy. She is very special and beautiful!! These pictures dont really do her justice...she is MUCH more beautiful in real life... |
She's very pretty in the pictures too!!! I'm glad she found such a good mommy... Sounds like she's going to be well taken care of and that she will have lots of play partners! |
Awwwww........You can see it in her face - she's happy. This was so nice to read and CONGRATULATIONS to you and Holly - I bet she finds herself coming more out of her shell and she'll settle right in with you. she is a pretty girl - those are some great pictures you took of her |
OOOOH I'm sooo glad you decided to get her! I was just checking your other thread to see what happened! She really is a beautiful girl - and so lucky to have found you (and vice versa). I'm sure the snappiness is just temporary - it's probably much harder for an older dog to adjust as opposed to a new puppy. It wont be long before she's cuddling up with you and your other babies! Congrats! |
Thank you so much..I really hope the snapping stops. When we are away from the other dogs she is as sweet as can be..my little shadow but when they are running around she hides and wont let me touch her. I will let her rest though and take one day at a time. Thank you V for the compliments on her and my pics...she is soo sweet, I know I can get some better pics if I try hard enough lol... Can anyone tell me more about how the Pedigree reads? Dawn |

Congratulations! She is beautiful! And I love her name! We adopted an older cat 6 years or so ago and it only took a couple days til she felt so at home and she is my very favorite cat!! |

Oh wow, Dawn! Congrats to you! I've been thinking of you today and I figured you'd get Holly! She IS beautiful and those are some great pics you took! I think the snapping is probably because everything is new to her right now and she just needs time to get used to her new home and the other pups! I'm so happy for you! Have fun and enjoy! Thank you Miss Sara...we think she is a beauty too..cant resist yorkie love hehe Connie..omg I hardly slept a wink!! I feel so bad for Holly as she will sit and stare at me for hours on end..she is so confused!! She is my SHADOW..even goes with me to the bathroom!! She loves Darla and is scared of bossy Reece and "giant" Sadie. She sits with me no matter where I am...even as we type she is sitting on me. You know the weirdest thing happened last night...HOLLY HUGGED ME?? Wrapped her paws around my neck and nuzzled under my chin??? It was the weirdest thing EVER!!! And then she pawed at my chin and covered her eyes with her paws... I am sooooooo in love with this girl and just wanted to cry for her last night...4 years with her mommy she must be so lost, confused and scared...please give Holly a little prayer and hope that she adjusts quickly to her new FOREVER AND EVER home Dawn |

yay... I'm so glad you found her and that she is home with you now! I believe it was meant to be!!! Perhaps her hug was to let you know you are making her feel secure there! My girl Lexie hugs up to me when I hold her. Sh is a bigger girl too and feels more secure being held where she can hold on to me too. Your baby is a beauty and is blessed to have you and your forever loving home and family!!!
