| ![]() My yorkie had pups last month on the 29th. She has been doing real well but last night she had a BM in the pen and it got on her and the pups. My questions is should I give her a bath? She stinks and so do the pups. They had their tails and claws done 3 weeks ago and seem healed but when is to soon to soon? Any advise is needed...Thanks |

| ![]() Congrats on the litter! I had a litter on the 26th. It is safe to bathe your Mamma dog. Just make sure she is thoroughly rinsed and 110% dry before you put her back in with the pups. I would just wipe the pups down for now (not giving a saturating bath) and make sure they are completely dry also and don't catch a chill. |

| ![]() I would bathe them but with very little odorless dog shampoo for mom and none on the pups. Thanks, Teri

| ![]() Thanks for everyones reply. I was able to talk with the vet and was told not to bathe the pups until 5 or 6 weeks and to make sure they are dry. I went ahead and bathed Birdie after reading on some threads it was ok just to make sure she was dry. Its so nice to be able to go to this forum and get advise. I dont feel like Im alone with pups relying on only me. Thanks again |
