White Hairs - Stress???? - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Roxy has JET BLACK hair - long, straight and TONS of it.
I have been noticing for a while that she has a random White Hair - here and there in her black hair. Are they stress hairs, like humans can get???

Sometimes, the whole strand is white, but for the most part it is White, then Black and maybe even White again...It is so weird that the strand is 1/2 and 1/2.

What is this?

Don't worry my yorkie has some white on her head and shoulders also its normal.

These white hairs are just like 1 here and there...It is a Black Strand that is loosing the Black Color and turning White, as if 1/2 of a Strand, either at the root OR at the tip (end) is being stripped (or bleached)

It is really bizare, thats why I wondered if her stress and anixety is giving her white hairs

Thats how Lillians is too..the ends are pure black and then its just white lol shes had that since she was a baby.

Is your baby young? No worries. It happens alot as they change and mature. I wouldn't worry at all about that

Venus is getting the silver on the top of her head now. Kinda looks like silver roots growing out, lol. No, I never dyed her hair

Roxy is almost 2 years old. I guess I just won't worry, they probably are Stress White Hairs - Like we get Grey ones (ha-ha-ha-ha)
