i just told my boss. that if misty is not feeling any better today i will have to leave early from work. and you know what he said no. ::eek: im so pissed off :mad: he said im better off if i lied to him better.i told him he should give his dog away to some one who loved animals. because he is not an animal lover.i also told him he can fire me if he wants but if my baby is sick i will take her.:mad:

Sorry this is going on. I would do the sme and have. I even took time off when I had a Gloden Die. My boss Is not a Animal lover but she was Relly understanding to my feelings. I hope your boss changes his mind.And I hope your Baby feels better.

AWWWWW! That sux! Don't worry. Some people are just not dog lovers. That is fine. One time when my Hobbs was an itty bitty puppy, my hubby called me at work and told me he was sick. I started bawling crying, went to my boss and told him I needed to leave because my puppy was sick, and my boss was like "OK! Please go home!" I'm sure he thought I was crazy, but I didn't really care at that point. :rolleyes:

just tell him if anything happens to her he will be held liable for the vet bills people who act like that annoy me to no end ugh!

Aww poor baby I hope she gets better!! As for your boss that is so mean! I would leave anyway. My mom is actually qutting her job because they wrote her up for taking too many personal days... which are her vacation days that run out at the end of the year!!! It was soo stupid so she was like fine I'll just leave haha.

But give your baby lots of kisses, and don't listen to your boss, just leave.

I'm so sorry you are having to deal with a boss such as him! Believe it or not, there are also bosses out there who feel the same when it is a skin kid that is sick - they think just because they are "workaholics", everyone else in their department should be the same, putting family behind work! Most men (and men who post on here, I mean no offense personally) can't understand when a child is sick, much less an animal, because they have a wife (usually) who takes their child when sick and they don't miss work....or they are single and no kids yet.

Stick to your guns and if you have to go, then leave...job be danged! Best of luck and sending prayers your way.

hes so lucky. i just called my mom and she told me my baby is doing much better has not thown up anymore.:D im so happy. if she would have told me she was not doing better i would have just got up and left and taken my baby to the vet. i would have not cared what my stupid boss said :rolleyes:

We all love are animals here and it is quite obvious this PERSON doesn't care about them as much....which I do realize some people don't...However, I probably would have told him something else..like maybe you had a dentist appointment or...a water pipe broke at your house (LOL)...I don't think I would have told him that your furbaby was sick and you might have to leave work...He OBVIOUSLY isn't really an animal lover and doesn't care...DI** H*A*

He is a 100% a**hole. I would tell him to take the job and shove it. My animals mean the world to me. He should be alot more understanding than that

Sadly, they do not consider animals immediate family :( I know a lady who took the next day off after she had to have her dog put to sleep and was told it will count against her on her evaluation.

That is the best solution. When my boy had to have surgery the first time I told my boss so who was very understanding. However I have a new boss and the second time...I told a fib. Mainley because I don't know my new boss that well. Better to say I am sick, then my dog is sick. Sad but true...some people would not understand.

I'm glad your baby is feeling better! I'm sooo glad I have a boss who will let me come and go when it comes to Tiny...He knows that Timy is my whole world! I can actually leave and come back to take Tiny to the groomers and normally I just bring him back to work with me!! I defanitly got lucky there..He's not a real animal lover but he likes Tiny...Who dosn't like Yorkies????????:confused:
Well hopefully next time you should just tell him something different ...It would probably go over better

So sorry to read this. I too would let him fire me if he wanted. Sorry, I don't play with my pet's health like that. The day you get sick or are no longer 'useful'.................he won't think twice to give you the boot!

We got problems? Does he know how many different forums are out there? When I was modding my car I was on a few car forums. I'm also a member of a motorcycle forum, but barely post. There are forums for every interest. What's wrong w/ talking to people who have the same interest as you? I could say something really mean about your boss, but I don't wanna get banned forfoul language.

im sorry but when someone tells me its just a stupid dog he deserves to be called an a--hole and more :mad: and by the way i still have my job he cant afford to loose me as an employee. he even told me sorry :rolleyes:

Has he seen Misty's little face? Heck I'd drive down from NY to take her to the vet for ya :) But then I'm a "Misty Stalker" hehe

Sometimes I get so frustrated by the way I get treated here too. If my kids had only 2 legs it wouldn't be an issue but since they are just "dogs" I get treated poorly. grrrrrr..........

Any time one of my dogs was sick, I would call in or leave work in a heart beat. I just don't tell them it's because of a dog....I say I am sick or my husband, or I have a personal emergency. Most people wouldn't understand that you want off work for a dog.....so just make up a white lie. It's for a good cause!:p
