| purses/carrier sizes What size carrier do you suggest for a dog that is about 4.5lbs, something not too big and bulky but too tight for her to be comfy?? |

| I have been searching and searchng for a bag that I can use to take my Teddy into where ever I may go and have him not be noticed. Right now he comes in his regular carry bag (very much looks like a dog carrier). I usually cover the bag with one of my jackets or put it in my son's stroller and cover the front as though the baby is sleeping. I really would like to find a bag that doesn't look like a dog bag so he can come anywhere and not be worried about someone noticing him. Any suggestions? Kim |

| Celltei's make great carriers. My dog is about 4.5 lbs and fits nicely but comfy in an xs pack-o-pet celltei carrier. I take him everywhere I go, to restaurants, stores, the mall, bank, etc. And no one has even noticed. It looks like I'm carrying a regular handbag. Also, sites like Tinkerbell's Closet sell carriers that look like handbags. That would be your option. If you wanted to have something cheaper, I'd check out ebay or Target. |

| Several people here at YT make purse type cariers -- here is the messenger style carrier that I make. Hopefully others will post pics of the carriers they make/sell |

| I just got the vera bradley pet porter...and so far shayna loves it! I dont think you can really tell its a dog bag, and its lined in plastic and has a washable pad. shayna is about 3 and half pounds and she has more than enough room, and its not so big that its bulky for me to carry. I havent had any problems bringing her into stores in her bag. People just think its an oversized bag or like a baby bag. it also has a zip up compartment on the side for treats and even your personal stuff like a cell phone or a camera!

| Wow! Thanks everyone! I have searched high and low and what I really want is something that has mesh that has covers that can be closed and closes from the top as well with mesh or otherwise or he wants to poke his head out. Madvelazquez, that backpack looks promising. But it looks cumbersom to carry. Is it possible to carry it over your shoulder without actually wearing it as a backpack? I don't mind a backpack as I am a casual type person but I always just sling them over my shoulder instead of wearing them. Does it close completely at the top? chattiesmom, Your purse is great! Do you have any other styles? Or any that close at the top? Thanks a bunch, Kim |

| Another Idea Puchi Bags are the best. They totally look like designer purses and not dog carriers. Plus they are easy to wipe down in the inside and very comfortable to carry. They also come in plain colors or cute more modern takes! Ck out www.puchibag.com under PuchiBag2 "kona" style, I got one in blue print and one in pink print and absolutely love them. Also the Juicy couture bags are really really cute and have the added bonus of the extra compartment area for our things, thus only making it necessary to carry one bag on outings!

| I really love the carrier I got for Maddie and Maddie loves it too. It does have mesh at each end, but you have to look really close to see Maddie in there. It also has 3 outside compartments, so I can carry my things in there and don't have to bring my purse. I got it at Tinkerbell's Closet. No one notices it's a dog carrier...I've taken Maddie lots of places in it!
