Hi everybody...:rolleyes:
I know everyone here looooves their yorkies, but I have got a story to tell! I have a friend who is "babysitting" someone's yorkie. First of all, she left specific instructions NOT to feed her dog! And this dog is Tiny!! Her ribs and hips are sticking out and she looks feeble and tired all the time, not at all happy, bouncy, and playful like my yorkie! The dog came to my friend dirty, matted, and as skinny as a baby water bottle. (the ones that kids drink..tiny) She was soooo hungry the poor thing... Ok, long story short, she said she didn't want us feeding her dog because she lived in an apt and wanted to keep her small!! :mad:

About two weeks later, the girl brings her dog over to my friends' house again!!:confused: ( I mean usually I would only leave my dog at a friend's if I couldn't take her with me... like on a trip somewhere...) She was dirty, matted, and STINKY! The girl had the nerve to bring over shampoo!!!!:eek: ( I helped my friend wash that girl's dog because I felt bad FOR THE DOG) How do you do that???:confused: How do you bring a stinky dog over and tell them its for a week or so (no pay of course) and bring shampoo to say, here, biatch, make sure you wash her too like last time!!! The NERVE!! .... AND it turns out the dog is in HEAT!!??:eek: So when my friend brought her over to my house to play with my lola, she stank and bled everywhere! I bathed her again of course. purely for the dog, I can't stand the fact that SHE BROUGHT SHAMPOO!!! uuuuuughhhh! I could scream! And I'm starting to think that she didn't want to deal with the dog's heat so she brought her over "for a week or so". THis is my friend's sister-in-law's friend so I have no place to complain.. but it seems like I'm doing all the work and that's ONLY cuz I feel bad for the poor girl...:mad: some ppl do not deserve to be yorkie owners!!

I know I'm not over-reacting... am I?:eek: please someone out there... agree with me!!!!

OMG!! I can't believe someone would treat their precious furbaby that way AND expect others to basically take care of it for her!! Have you thought about contacting the local animal control in your area to have them investigate her? I would be on the phone bright and early tomorrow morning!!!

That is totally insane. You cant not feed you dog because you want it to stay small. Good greif.....sounds to me like she needs to be turned in. That infuriates me!!! Poor baby yorkie :mad:

:mad: I can't even stand leaving mine to go to work, never mind leaving him with someone else to take care of AND bathe!

This person does NOT deserve this dog! I can't believe she won't feed her because she wants her to stay small! That is HORRIBLE! She needs to be reported and this little baby needs to be put in a home where people will love her, FEED her and BATHE her.

If the dogs that bad, Why dont you turn her in? The dogs better off some where else.

i think its time for someone to take action and get this poor little girl relocated!!! And not to feed her so she stays small!!???? Is she nuts???? My male is skinny too, but its not for the lack of food, thats just the way he is, he eats all the time, and then for her to bring over the dog and get you to wash her..........well at least you know she is better with you guys and is taken care of! Some people!:mad:

I have an idea that she (puppy) will be back...I will tell my friend to have a talk with her to let her know that this is no way to take care of a dog. I think this girl is just avoiding responsibility. :mad: But since she is a friend of a sister-in-law of a friend, I don't want to report her just yet. I have been feeding her dog plenty, anytime she's hungry, and I have given my friend lots of 'chicken soup' sprinkled with missing link so she has plenty of food. She is gonna have to deal with her dog perhaps gaining some weight. Good news is, my dog is helping her dog to gain a personality. She is a little more playful and less afraid the second time around. Does anyone know about dogs in heat? do they get constipated? hm... my lola is spayed and before her I've always had male dogs... any help will be appreciated... I just wanted ppl to tell me I'm not crazy for being angry with her, it's kind of crazy that I'M the one on here asking for help with HER dog...:confused: thanks y'all.

tell your freind to tell her the dog died and keep her or just keep her and move leave no forwwarding adress or flat out tell that person she cant take care of the dog she cant have her poor dog

You are NOT crazy! I would be so mad if I seen a dog like that! She needs to either take care of this dog properly OR give her to someone that will! I just feel so bad for her. Why do ppl get animals if they won't take proper care of them? Keep us posted!

In all of my life, I've never heard of anyone who has not fed a dog because they wanted it to stay small. This teacup stuff has gone way overboard.:mad:

What an idiot!! I almost lost my little girl this week because of a vet's mistake. This story makes me sick.I cannot believe this girl doesn't want to feed her dog because of being afraid it will get big. :mad: I have two yorkies and a pekingese. My two yorkie girls eat off and on all day long. The one is about 2 lbs. and the other about 5 lbs. My 2 lb. dog eats more then the other two and she is still very thin. If they are to be small feeding them the right amount of food will not make them big. She's making this poor little thing unhealthy. I just dont understand people. I wish my little 2 lb. girl would somehow gain weight. I've tried everything but she is just naturally small. This entire obsession over small dogs is out of control. Someone had the nerve to tell me my 5 lb. dog was so big for a yorkie. I looked at the lady like she was nuts. She didnt know I had another smaller yorkie and made over her tiny one. Big or small it does not matter. They are all beautiful!!! My dogs are my babies. This poor little thing needs a new home where she can play and enjoy food. Please turn her in!!

Yup I would Definately tell her that the dog ran away! Great idea! Someone NEEDS to step in and take care of this poor little thing. That person has NO right being a dog owner!

Totally amazing the nerve some people have. I would never leave my babies in such a horrible state. Let alone expect someone else to take care of them. That is ridiculous. I would also make sure since she mentioned not feeding the poor thing to keep it small it was not malnurished and at the first sign of sickness call in a rescue! :thumbup:

Maybe this girl would be glad to get rid of her? Looks like she's not very fond of her Yorkie... Even if she is the friend of a relative's friend (did I get that right?) I think it would be the right thing to do to talk to her and if she shows no positive response I would turn her in anyway. Be an advocate for the little innocent Yorkie girl!:aimeeyork

I'm all for telling her the puppy died or ran away, then keep her to yourself :D or find her a home where she won't be neglected :mad: poor baby:(

I totally agree with you thats rediculous you bought a dog that has hair that continuously grows do you not think your not gonna have to take care of it? personally i love taking care of mine!

As much as I agree to tell her the dog ran away or the dog died you know you wouldn't be able to do that...(I couldn't anyway) but, I will tell you what I would do...Tell her that she is abusing that dog! She cant' really be serious thinking that not feeding her is going to keep her small! It's going to make her sick! You HAVE to say something to her...that she is not taking care of her dog properly,..I would just say to her that if she doesn't have the time to take care of her that you will take her...if you didn't want to keep her you could find her a home...I think it's great that you are feeding her...even if the dumbell doesn't want you too...What the HE** is wrong with this person!...

Take action now! That dog's life depends on you!
 

A tiny should eat AT LEAST every 6 hours! Some people keep food down for them all the time. What she is doing is horrible and it shows that she only got that dog because all she cares about are looks and having a tiny purse dog! We can thank Paris Hilton and Britney Spears for pushing teacup dogs without explaining that they are not fashion accessories!
This dog should be fixed since she is so small as well. She is not healthy enough to breed and I don't think a single pup or even the mom would make it. I can't even imagine a dog going through heat and being denied food. She is LOSING blood and needs food and water to replenish herself. She will SURELY die if no one does something. Call the animal control for at least not giving that dog food. If I were babysitting that dog I would have gave her TONS of food, the most high quality food I could buy!
This girl makes me sick and unfortunately this isn't the first time I've heard this. People ask all the time what they can do to keep their dog smaller just so that it travels in it's purse. Some people even dump their dog if it gets too big. Please breeders, if a potential buyer seems ONLY interested in size and it is SOOOOOOOO important.... Don't just hike up the price! DO NOT SELL THE PUPPY TO PEOPLE LIKE THIS!

I agree...for me at least i would never consider having a tiny yorkie...for one because i have kids but for two they can be so unhealthy...i cant beieve a person could do that to the cutie pie...thats so sad...i agree with turning her in...of even taking her to the vet to see what they think...they would be able to tell you if they thought that she was sick or had been neglected...you can send her here lol..i could use another baby to keep mine company lol...hope things work out and keep us posted on what happens with this...good luck

I cant believe someone would do that to the poor baby....I think its a great plan just say she got out and keep her and take care of her..She doesnt deserve to live like that she needs someone that can love her and take good care of her..not starve her to death..poor thing..GOOD LUCK let us know how it goes...I feel horrible just leaving Gizmo by himself when i go to work..and when he doesnt eat i worry like crazy...
