Thinking Of You And Tia !!!! I'm so sorry to hear about the accident - we'll keep you in our prayers. I try not to over-react with any of my babies - but my adage is better safe than sorry. I'd rather pay the vet bill to find out she is ok !! Yes, they do play us like fiddles - which is one of the many reasons we love Yorkies !! Take care and keep us posted on how Tia and YOU are doing. |
Another update. Took Tia to the vet just to be sure. He gave her the once over and said she was just fine. By this afternoon she was running aound as nothing happened. But I have learnt a lesson! I love the idea of a cat bell on her harness. Pick one up today and its now on. Also had a good talk with DH and reminded him that the reason he loves dogs so much is how happy they are when you come home! So I told hiom when he walks through the door from now on....look down ;) |
I sure hope little Tia is doing better, the poor baby! I dont know how to stress enough to people, and we all know who have tinies how delicate and how much we have to be careful. I'm always always saying, watch out for Lillie, it just comes natural now. You can never be to safe. I agree with the bell on her harness, I have one on Lillie and it's really a must have. I hope she is ok, Lillie sends her yorkie hugs and kisses! |
I am so glad to hear that Tia is doing ok. It is so very scary with these little guys...... and they are so quick that sometimes you pick up your foot and they are under it when you set your foot down. Give the DH a hug, he is probably hurting too..... |

Just joined up on this post, and I am so glad that she is okay! Whew!!! I was glad to hear that you took her to the vet too. I always play it safe and go to the vet....rather pay a vet visit then loose a baby! When Mojo was tiny, we used the cat bell too! That worked wonders! I remember when he was smaller (younger), I had worked in an office and I was allowed to take him. One day, he was roaming around, like he always did, and a temp worker roller her chair over him! I was mad at her for not watching for him, but then again, most offices don't have tiny furbabies running around. Her and I took him to the vet (where she actually paid half, that was nice of her). The vet did x-rays, etc. just to make sure there wasn't anything wrong internally and give some meds for pain....something to help relax the nerves and help with the pain...he said something about stress, etc. Anyway, all was all, and I know we learn from those times, but boy, they are scary!!! Just so glad that all is well with your little girl! Sending Yorkie hugs and kisses! |
Glad to hear she is ok... |

What a fright. I'm glad to hear she is doing better today. Your DH must have felt horrible. It's amazing how much those little bodies can endure. My DH ran over one of ours with a golf cart a few years back. I was sure she was going to die. We rushed her right to the vet. they xrayed and everything was fine. He gave me antibiotics in case there were any internal injuries. she was very sore and moved very little for about a week,. But she was fine. |
Glad To Hear Tia Is Ok !!! What a relief to hear that the Doc gave Tia the old once over and she is fine. The vet's confirmation is worth the peace of mind. I agree with the cat bell, Gracie wears a cat collar so I can hear the bell whenever she is in gear - even if I can't see her I can hear her. Sincerely relieved all survived this nightmare.:yorkiesar |
I'm so glad the Vet said she is gonna be okay. God bless and watch your step DH ;) |
I am happy to hear that you took Tia to the vet and that he confirmed that all is well :) Wonderful idea to put a little bell on her collar... Give Tia a kiss..... Gina and Gucci |
This is one of my fears also because Jake is still really tiny. We have to constantly watch where we're walking because he likes to follow us around. I'm always worried that he will get stepped on. Owning a very small dog really is a challenge because you really do have to be soooooooooo careful. That's the main reason I waited until my children were grown before I got my first yorkie. Now when my grandchildren come over, I have to be very careful. But, they have been great about understanding that they have to watch where they walk. I'm glad Tia is okay!:) |
It's great that she is fine. Lucky little girl. Give her extra hugs and kisses from us. OK?:D |
