Hi to all the new members of Yorkie Talk we all are glad to have you here! I just wanted to start this thread for all the new people on this site. We have a great community here and we are all here because we love the Yorkie breed! I just wanted to let you all know how to navigate on this site first we have had many great topics over the years and all of them can be found by using the search button under your sign in name this is a great way to see the frequently asked questions like What is a Teacup? How much will my puppy weigh? My puppy has silver roots? And a million other topics that are very helpful and informative. If you don't find what you are looking for in the search then start a new thread to ask your question we love to help each other out here. Don't feel stupid when asking a question we were all beginners at one time. Also we all have our opinions and we here try very hard to respect each other but occasionally we will get a heated topic that some have a very strong opinion about but just remember we all need to be respectful here. You can also use the quick links next to the search to find all of todays posts! Well good luck to you all and again welcome to YT.

Actually - that IS a good post and I hope lots of people read it and dive in...though every day I see more and more new people - so I want to say up front ........ WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU ALL COMING FROM ??? I can't freaking keep up anymore !! :eek: :eek: Everyday there's like 2 thousand new members - is the WHOLE Country getting Yorkie Addicted ??

IF Someone is new and a bit overwhelmed - take a look at how big this site is....once you get a few posts it's not so overwhelming...and there is always ...and I mean ALWAYS someone who will answer you - it may not be the minute you post - but someone will reply. Lots of us look for the threads with the fewest replies first.. I know I do.

LOL V! I feel the same about answering posts with few replies i was hoping this posts not only helps new members but also all the vetrens here i hope it helps them not feel so burned out and also encourage them to start new threads. I love this place and to be honest i don't know what i would have done without all you guys here!

Ok everyone please forgive my lack of computer/site lingo knowledge here. But is there a way to keep this post on top so that a new person will see it when they first come on to the site? You know how threads work their way down the chain, this would be very helpful if it was kept right up front/on top.

Welcome to all the new YT's!! Just jump on in, don't worry about asking question you think might be stupid, we all have alot to learn about yorkies on here...God knows I do...Dont say it V.....:D

& and all I can come up with is.....LOL ! I've never been called a guru before - I need to find out the perks of a pampered guru - I may come to like it p :p :p

and you're so right - even after a few YEARS I still learn new things all the time from people - TOO much knowlege can be a scary thing though - I won't tell you about how I thought Tessa my cocker was in heart failure over a itty bitty cough....it was cause of the NET that I played out the worst case seneraio in my head - and $150 later - she was just fine....:p She even had the nerve to stop coughing completely after that vet trip hehe -

I hear ya V my mom and the breeder i got Peeka from think i'm nuts because i am always telling them which foods not to feed them and a vast amount of other things they don't want to hear after all i am an expert now lol:rolleyes: well they go nuts and tell me i need a life lol

Amber, I think I figured something out that may help. If we put this thread on new YT members post, for them to referance, that would at least let them know about it. So at least they have the info on their thread that they started. I just did this, hope you don't mind. :p
