Do you close up your yorkie before you leave the house?? Or do you let them roam free? |
Buddy has freedom. It took alot of work but the day finally came. He sleeps on the couch facing the front door waiting for me to come home! Sad I know but one of us has to work!:D |
One is 5 years old, and he does fine roaming the house. Now the other is still in potty training, and a climber! To keep her from climbing out of her pen, I have to crate her. I hate doing this, but its for her own good. I don't want to come home to a broken leg or anything like that. I may see soon though, if I can give her "roaming rites" in the kitchen again soon. Last time, wasn't too successful. She'd pee on the pee pads, but wouldn't poop anywhere near it. |
Everytime I leave them free they end up chewing on something. I feel bad to leave her closed up but I don't know what else to do.. |
baby gated inside our kitchen |
New Member [F][/FONT] Hello everyone, I am new to this site and the happy owner of Trixie, she is a 4 1/2 year old YT, she is what they call blue and tan.. we have had her all of her 4 1/2 years and after lots of research , we bread her at the end of August, really because she just has such a great and loving personality. I have been looking for info on her possible pregnancy and it led me to this site. Even though we have a lot of info, we are still new to this so I was checking to see if anyone could tell me if we really should be able to tell by now ... we think she has some symptoms but not sure ... please help! |
James stays in the bathroom, less stress for me!! He would have the whole house chewed up in one day:D |
 Welcome to YT. I've never had a pregnant dog so I don't really know what to tell you...there are alot of threads about newborn pups you might find some answers there. You should start your own thread it'll be hard for people to find you here. |

Unless you have an eye for it, it can be hard to tell until they are a little over a month along. |
If I am "leaving leaving" for a while, they all get put in their crates. I would just worry too much. Tiah is great and doesn't do anything wrong, but I'd never forgive myself if something happened to her while I was gone. If I am just outside mowing the lawn or something, they get gated in the living room and family room. |
yes, in the vinyl dining area. She'd tear up everything otherwise. |
My babies are gated off in the kitchen, dining room and hallway. I would give them complete free run but my little Tee Tee is a chewer and I'm afraid she'll chew the TV cords! :D |
I should get gates..sounds like a good idea. |
Kacee is totally housebroken and doesn't bother anything, so she has had the full run of the house for a long time now. She will be 18 months old October 9th. She's a good girl.:D |
Katy has free roam of the house except for the bedrooms. She has a doggie door and can go out when she wants too. (note: we have an 8ft privacy fence with chicken fence buried 3 inches under the ground.) |
