Does anyone use reusable puppy pads??? I am thinking about getting some reusable puppy pads. I am currently spending atleast $60 a month for just pads. So I figured if I could get 14 reusable pads, I would be saving money as I could just reuse them. So does anyone know where I can get reusable puppy pads at a good price, I don't have alot to spend on just one pad as I need more than that. Also, to those of you that have used the reusable pads, do they work well?? I have seen alot of reusable pads that look like blankets. I don't want my dogs to end up going on actual blankets because they thought it was their pad, so how would they know the difference?? Are you happy with using the reusable pads and do they work well and wash up nicely?? Thank You to anyone that can help!!!! |
Hi, Yes I have bought 1 reusable pad and it does work well.....they go on it and it washes nicely. I only bought 1 though because it was like $22.00. so I have been using the disposible ones and that one. |
I bought several when I first got Joey (rip, little joey!), but I still use them in Phoebe's pen, which sits on my carpet. Supposedly they are infused with an attractant that makes the dog want to pee there... I wouldn't say she's pee pad trained, though. We mostly take her outside and just have the pads in there for when I have to leave her for awhile. I think I got them at Petsmart online.... but not sure. I know I researched to find the cheapest place. They are costly, but they wash up nicely and the scent is supposed to last through lots of washings. BTW, before Joey passed, he was using the pads effectively.. smart little bugger. He would search out the pad. I think it's because the breeder started pad training before I got him. We haven't worked with Phoebe that way, but I think the pads work great if you train like that. I'll try to figure out where I got the pads. deb |
www.pishpad.com tell them I sent you, lol! |
I bought 300 pads for $40 (including shipping) at ebay. That's a good option too! |

We purchased from www.piddlepads.com and have been very pleased. We bought a dozen almost a year ago and are still using them. They wash great!! Our girls have a doggy door and are trained to go outside, but we leave these washable pads down when we are done and the girls use them without a problem....we bought plaid ones and worried if the girls would get confused....but we have the pad down in the same place everyday and the girls know that is where they should go. Our floors are the wood laminate, but we have a large rug in the living room and 99% of the time we do not have problems. (And most of the time the 1% is when they are mad at us for something!!) |
The pishpad sound great but omg! that price!!! |
I've bought 3 rolls of the stuff and it's great....I just try not to think about the money....but it's probably one of the cheaper dog investments anyway. |
They sell the pish pads on ebay also. What about using diaper pads? |
I used to use the Pish Pads but after many washings the felt started pulling away from the plastic backing. I've been using the Piddle Pads for months now and I LOVE them. They are quilted and wash and dry beautifullly. They will last much longer than the Pish Pads. I bought a dozen of the larger Piddle Pads because I have two dogs usings them each day. I have one pad placed in two different locations in my kitchen. My dogs know that they are to do their business in those locations only (although they do have an occasional accident). Paper wee wee pads are good but the piddle pads will wind up being way less expensive in the long run and much better for the enviornment. |
Too expensive for me :( I got wee wee pads one time and my pup wouldn't even use them. I guess the carpet was softer for him lol. |

I've been using baby crib pads (2 for $10) and they work great. Just throw them in the wash and they look brand new. |

WOW! what a great idea!!! I never thought of that...Of course my skin baby is 23 yrs old! You could actually cut it in half, sew around the edges and have 2 of them... Probably easier than "stealing" from the hospital lol Thanks! |
