Lol...Im not gonna trash you hun. I feel more sorry for the animals thatn the people thats for sure!

she may have left the car running thats how it got stolen who knows how they got into it htough without seeing the dog or at least barking

I'm just glad she got her dog back. I hate to see dog left in cars.

Not trashing you, agreeing with you.:) Would anyone leave their baby in a car while they went to eat, drink, run in the cleaners etc? To me it's the samething.:mad: Carol

Reggie goes with me and doesn't stay in the car unless I'm standing outside of it pumping gas and paying at the pump.

I worry more about animals than humans... people are stupid and animals are at our mercy. I live in Texas and there are so many people who have pets and all they do is leave them tied up or stuck in small enclosures outside with a small dog house for protection from the weather. There is one place I drive by that looks like a junkyard, and they have fenced off areas that have:

cars and cows or
metal junk and horses or
junk and goats....

They make me so mad I could spit but I don't know who to call. The sherriff takes care of most abused animal calls, but they don't do livestock.

Do people actually pull over to have a smoke, step out and smoke, then get back in? :confused: LOL

With an exception maybe --

My uncle grew up on a farm and continued to live in the country most of his life.

He had a border collie (Buster) - who was never left at home. Buster went everyplace my uncle ever went. And (like my aunt), Buster spent a lot of time waiting in the car until my uncle took care of all the chores he went to town to do.

I can guarantee you that Buster was never left in a hot (or freezing cold pickup). The windows were always cracked if it was hot outside - and if it was unusually hot or cold (and my uncle had to be gone for more that a few minutes), Buster went with him wherever he had to go.

Believe me -- Buster would rather have waited in the car than have been left at home. He was just that kind of dog.

People who love their animals - simply make sure they are comfortable and safe - whatever the circumstances.

*** Like so many issues that come up - our little Yorkies (mainly because of their size, etc. and let's add on "value") really need special care and special treatment and attention at all times. Plus - most of our little Yorkies aren't really treated like "dogs."

**** But don't think for a minute I'm not like most of you. I hate to see dogs left in a hot car - or not well or safely taken care of.
