I need HELP! 2 Attachment(s) Hi all, I need help deciding on this little yorkie boy. First off he is 1 1/2 yrs old, utd on all shots. No health problems. Also no papers. The people are asking $100 adoption fee. They sent pics of him, not the best, they were taken when he got out of the tub and his hair was not combed yet. Just need opinions on him. Should I get him or not? Thanks meeshue |
He is cute. That is a great adoption fee and I would grab him up before someone else does |
Yes!!!!! |
Oh he's cute. Did they say why they are adopting him out? Is he hpuse broken and neutered? Sounds like a good deal. |
well yaaa! |
Thanks everyone. Yes he is housebroken and neutered. They did not say why they are rehoming. I am calling after 3:30 to make arrangements to go and see him. I will ask then why. The only thing that I was concerned about was his ears. I would of really like them standing, but he is so cute anyway. I just needed a little push. Thanks meeshue |
If you're only looking for a pet then this is a great deal. I love the way he looks so calm around the baby. |
YES YES YES! Why in the world WOULDN'T you?! I would snatch him up in a heartbeat! You can't be a $100 adoption fee, utd on all shots, neutered, housebroken, OBVIOUSLY fantastic with young children....PLEASE get him! KEEP US UPDATED! :p :p :p |
If you are only looking only for a sweet pet, go for it! he may not be the Best In Show fellow but it looks soooooo cute anyway! :D |
Wow, grab him! He is adorable. I love the floppy ears! If he is healthy you sure found the deal of the year.:D Who needs papers if you are not going to breed him. He is already neurterd and housebroken! Wow girl what are you waiting for? Good luck. |
OOOOOOOOOoops forgot to add. Why in the world someone would keep a Yorkie in that poor condition (not groomed). I feel sorry for him. So, if you can adopt him you will do the best thing for him! |
I personally love the floppy ears. He may not win any shows, but he sure looks cute and sweet. I would snatch him up if I were you. |
As I said he just came out of the bath. I just spoke with the people that have him and the reason they are rehoming is that they are moving and have 3 dogs. The yorkie is the youngest and they feel he should be the one to get rehomed. I am going to pick him up at 5 so I will let everyone know when I get back. I will also post pics. Thank to you all you were all a great help. meeshue " I am so excited" |
This is a no-brainer...... :animal36 |
He didnt look poorly groomed to me either he just looks wet |
are you crazy,,,,you better go for it girl...he is a cutie pie...:) |
What a bargain........yes, snatch him up quick! |
I hate to be negative, but I'm betting there is more to the story than simply moving. I hope things go well for you. Keep us "posted"! |
He is sitting on the baby so I'm guessing agression is not an issue. He looks adorable. Good luck |
How exciting! Congrats in advance!!! |
Go get him -- he's adorable!! :D GOOD LUCK and keep us posted!! |
He looks like a sweetie! |
Ok all I am back! I got him. You would not believe these people that I got him from! He is beautiful. They did not take care of him at all. As far as shots go I have his records. Otherwise he is all matted in the back end. Anything I can use that I can get from the Grocery store? It is too late to try to get cowboy magic. I need to groom this little guy now. All these people cared about was the money. I think they really needed it. Their house was a shack. Help I need to get his matts out now. I will post pics later. Thanks meeshue |

I've also heard cornstarch sold in the baby department next to the baby powder works with matts used with a dry coat and brush. You might be able to find Cowboy Magic locally - go to their website and do a store search - I've even heard people say they'e seen it at Petsmart. www.cowboymagic.com |
You could also try Johnson & Johnson's no more tangles or just clip throught the mats so that he doesn't get too stressed out. Congratulations on saving this furkid |
If I could, I would just take him to get him groomed this first time and tell them if they have to to go ahead & cut him down. You don't want to start out with him by hurting him or stressing him out. The hair will grow back . I'm glad you are going to give this sweet baby a good home.:) |
Do you have pics for us yet???? :D |
Silly question, but what is cowboy magic? |
Meeshue -- Since you just got this little guy - I wouldn't put him throught the torture of have all his matts combed out. Let him relax and be comfortable in his new home for a while. Give him a short puppy cut that will be easy to comb - and then keep up with his grooming in the future - and let him grow whatever length you want. I think he's cute beause he looks a lot like mine. I just cut mine short again - and he's so cute, I can't imagine why I don't always keep him this way. Good luck! Carol Jean |
