How far along do you think she is? If you have a stethoscope or get one - they're pretty inexpensive you could listen for heartbeats!! It's so great to hear the tick-tick-tick!!:D |
Your vet should be able to tell by day 50 at the LATEST... |
You can have her palpitated, or an ultrasound at around 30 days gestation, after that point, you have to wait until around day 55 for an xray, that is 8 days before her due date. In the meantime, treat her as if she is for sure pregnant, better safe than sorry. Puppy food, good treats and supplements (not cottage cheese), no frontline within 3 weeks of the birth, no revolution or other "all in one" treatments, no vaccinations, etc. So how far along do you think she is? Pregnant yorkie Hi, I am new to this site and was just wondering if you ever found out if your yorkie was pregnant? I just found out 2 days ago that my yorkie, Zoey is pregnant! My groomer was the one who pointed out that she was "swollen". She thought maybe she was coming into or out of heat. Zoey had been out of heat for a month now. Anyways, I took her to my vet and he did a basic check ( feeling her tummy and looking at her teats) and he assured me she was but still took a pregnancy test. They drew a little blood from her paw and in 10 minutes it was confirmed that she was. We will be having an ultrasound on the 20th of October. :animal-pa |

2 Attachment(s) I posted a couple of great sites under the "New Member" thread in the breeder section. They are very helpful and explain a lot in an easy manner. How far along is your girl if it took? The vulva will not go back to its tiny size if she is pregnant even if you can't tell in the belly area. The belly gets large in the last 2 and a half weeks. Tiah also gets a little indigestion and burps. I can tell by personality also...Tiah is extremely sweet, but somehow gets even sweeter when pregnant. After the 1st month, they go through what a human considers morning sickness...lasts for about 10 days. Goodness, I'll show you my girl's belly....but don't expect or even HOPE for that:eek: ! Thought she was having SEVEN at that size and only had four! She was overdue though and ended up with a c-section. My pups are now 4 days old and I have over $700 in vet bills into the litter. Plan for the worst and hope for the best. Here is Tiah....again, DON'T PANIC.... P.S. The last 3 weeks you have to be VERY careful with her and how much she jumps and how roughly she plays. P.S.S. These pictures show a VERY large belly. To not be this big is considered normal. x-rays aren't done until the last week of pregnancy. |
Oh my goodness ok....I LOVE the pregnant Yorkie pics!! :D LOL Those are sooo cute!!!!! :p |
