Well her pictures have been updated because I emailed her and gave NO names but said that some think her pictures have been altered. I asked her if she could post new and recent pics and she emailed me back and sent me the same pictures that she just posted. They look the same except the the pictures on the net look funny. To me it is the same picture. I don't think she has altered them and she has lowered her price. This may be legit and she is just seeing what she can get who knows. To me the puppy looks just fine. Yeah she may be little but so what. I know a lot on here have small pups.I know that little ones tend to have health problems and it isn't something that I would want. It just seems some are so quick to judge. She seems to be getting rid of her because of her own children being so small she is scared she is going to get hurt. Maybe the high price is to assures that she won't go to a bad place who knows. Michelle |
Well, obviously the price is crazy, but I could see someone paying it. Good grief, people obviously give Jeff Dane $$$$ for his ugly dogs....and IMO, this one is a REAL cutie! |
It isn't just that she is small,it's that people try and get more money for very small dogs that do not meet breed standards. |

I agree it is not a scam the lady just wants a high price for her, thats all. |

Who knows she said she bought the dog for that much, so she could of bought it from Jeff Dane  . But, her dog is a cutie though!!! |
Yeah....and then, when health complications show up later - they'll toss her aside as 'defective'. *crying* |

I agree with you completely! Surely no one will be dumb enough to buy it! Not with all the info on the internet, being able to do research on finding a reputable breeder and healthy babies out there! What kind of breeder uses those terms anymore? :thumbdown |

Well I can tell you that I won't be paying for any of them to show their dogs. Some of those prices that they charge are just plain crazy! Just curious what do you consider an "ok" price coming from "champions":) ? Michelle |

This is no showbreeder from looking at this! Besides I bought mine from a show breeder, and did NOT pay no where near that price! Nor would I........ From what I understand showbreeders breed to improve the breed health and looks wise, and other stuff to. Not to make money. It is thier hobby. Where does other type of breeders that don't show put thier money they make? Maybe your paying for thier house payment, or vacation.... |

People who do that are just straight up cruel... but she is adorable. |
I hate that she's getting so many looks at it, it just keeps the prices up. I will say that I looked around and found two the same age and same weight as what hers is...one is $5,000 firm and the other is $2200. Just goes to show you, research your puppy first :) |
I know some here have paid that much for a dog but ... That is still a crazy price in my opinion. I still wouldn't pay that much even for "show quality" I think people keep jacking the prices up because some think that is an acceptable figure. No offense to anyone here who have paid prices like that. There is just no way I am paying prices like that!! Michelle |
Did you ever think that show breeders may have so much expenses to make their dogs champions? You do not win money at a dog show just a ribbon or a trophy. Handling fees are very high and traveling too... That is the reason show quality or champion bloodlines cost more. They say that you usually get what you pay. Myself I promote show breeders. Dog shows were born in England to improve a breed but enter animals in the show ring may be soooooooo costy!. I respect show-breeders, really. Show-breeders are responsible of many of the very well bred/sound Yorkies we see out there. My point of view and I do not mean to offend anyone! (I kept saying this last words because people tend to feel offended very easily!) :) Quote:

I don’t care how crazy this woman is; I hope that dog finds a good home with people who care about her. She looks so sweet. I hope she lives a long, healthy life with her new mommy….new, incredibly rich mommy. Lol :p |

She's down to $5,500 now...I love how the seller included notes in her rambling that people have asked her if she's "bumped her head" and "gone crazy"...well, maybe she has! :) Then she goes on to say that the people who are asking these questions are trying to get her to come down in price, because they've never seen a yorkie this small and want to BREED HER! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Can a dog that small even be at all healthy and carry puppies? Would puppies from that small of a girl survive? From other posts in this thread, I think probably not. One final rant about this lady-you'd think that if this lady was legit, and really was going to be "picky" about who and where the puppy went to, that she's be trying to attract someone to the ad who could pay for and love the dog...maybe she could use SPELL CHECK?!? I'm not a total stickler for that kind of thing, but don't the number of errors send a red flag to anyone else that this is a scam? If she's just not a good speller-ok, fine-but she didn't even care to spend the time to read through what she posted. Meanwhile, THOUSANDS of people are looking at her ad! |

And the reason she probably has soo many views is because of all of us YT members have been looking at it. |
One other thing have you noticed how she keeps talking about her size, but yet she weighed 1.7 pounds a few weeks ago when she first posted it, which has been about a month ago now. So, that makes it about 2 months ago that she weighed 1.7 pounds. So, just what is her current weight?? Someone should e-mail her and ask her. I know she has had to of gained some weight by now. I bet she is over 2 pounds, which she said she would not get to. I'm tired of people trying to cash in on the teeny, tiny yorkies. |

It's also questionable if a dog this size would even survive being shipped!:thumbdown |
I probably just need to let this one go...but I emailed that lady! She's still telling me $5500 for the puppy. I asked how much the puppy weighed now, said that I thought her price was too high, asked if she's consider coming down (just to SEE if she would), and asked if there was any sort of health guarantee. She actually wrote back, but said the pup still was "not more than a pound and a half" which is funny, because 1.7 lbs IS more than a pound and a half! She said she's trying to get back her cost, since she supposedly paid $8500 for the pup, so she can't come down on price any more. She claimed there was a lady in Atlanta interested in the pup, but if I'd put in an offer, she'd consider it if the other buyer didn't want her-do you think she's trying to create "urgency"!? ...And she didn't answer my question on health at all-just dodged it! Stay tuned in case she writes back! |
ucch! what a mess! Definitely interested in what you hear back! One thing I've learned just from having a Yorkie? There are some weird-a** people out there!! |
I hope noone pays that much for that cuteie pie.....that is ridiculous. |
The longer she keeps her, the more I feel sorry for this pup. Hope a celebrity comes by and purchases her already and give it a nice home! |
Just Money Hungry People I THINK SOME PEOPLE ARE IN IT JUST FOR THE MONEY I CANT EVEN BELIEVE SOMEONE COULD EVEN GET THAT KIND OF MONEY FOR A 1.7 POUND YORKIE I HAD A LITTER 5 MONTHS AGO ALL DIFFERENT SIZES . MY MOM TOOK THE LITTLE GUY. HE ONLY WEIGHTS 1.6 POUNDS HE WAS JUST GOING FOR $700.00 IVE TRIED FINDING A OLDER FEMALE ABOUT A YEAR OR OLDER I CANT EVEN FIND ONE FOR UNDER 1000.00 THAT IS THE CHEAPEST IVE FOUND SO FAR I GUESS THE OLDER THEY GET THE MORE EXPENSE THEY GET.:aimeeyork |
Hi Maggie ~ Welcome to YT! Actually, $1000 is not a bad price for a healthy yorkie...of any age. :) That's just the way the dog cookie crumbles in this breed. ;) |

Wow!!!!!!!!! That is just ridiculous...........but unfortunately there will be an idiot out there that will pay for it. Leading more people to overprice and keep breeding them this small. It's really ashame. |
There is no way the pup is healthy! I just got an email from her. She claims the puppy is 6 months old now and is "1.8 pounds" and "exactly a pound and a half". I think she needs a math lesson, along with spellcheck software on her computer. She also told me the supposed results of the vet check, which are also contradictory: The vet found evidence that a hernia had been removed before this lady got the puppy, but she claims that the puppy cannot be "spade" (as she calls it!) or on worming medicine until she weighs two pounds, because she can't handle the anesthesia being so small-but she obviously already had surgery to remove the hernia-odd no? Also, she mentioned that the vet wanted to check the pup's "liver shunt" but she declined because she said the pup had no symptoms..Liver shunt? As far as I know, healthy puppies do not have liver shunts. Also, the puppy must have worms if they're wanting to give worming medication, but isn't this typically safe for puppies of this age? She also keeps dodging my question about the puppy's teeth-and if she's lost any yet, or if she needs to have her baby teeth removed. The only "health guarantee" she'll give is for 72 hours after the puppy is received. Then she goes on to explain if I "dropped her or if she jumped out of your hands" they would not guarantee it. Makes me think she's been dropped or done some jumping in the past! Why would someone include that!??! And, it makes me really mad-she keeps referring to the puppy as a "Teaspoon" and a "Teacup"-which we all know there is no such thing! A yorkie is a yorkie! I just have this feeling this poor dog is starved to be this small, and when someone does finally adopt her and actually feed her she'll gain weight and be 2-3 pounds. I also told her I had a 4 lb. 6 month old puppy who is healthy that we didn't even pay anywhere near the price she's asking for her puppy, and she pretty much made fun of me for having a 4 lb. dog, and scoffs at the fact that I'm happy with her being that size. And of course, she keeps insisting that no one would ever be able to find another yorkie of this size for less than her price. But, if you refer to previous posts, you'll notice that there were a couple of pups found for less, and I'm SURE there are many more out there. I need to let this go. I get more upset with every email I get! |
