My parents use to raise Peekapoos. We ended up with one that was 1lb 4oz. We were not breeding for that size at all. We actually had 2 born that were runts of the litter and had to be hand fed because they could not nurse for the 1st week or so of life. The one died in a couple of days but the one that survived had 3 sets of teeth. It seemed to be a bit mentally handicapped. It was cute as a button. Wind up her tail and she would run around like a toy mechanical dog. We all loved her very much. She lived ot be 8yrs old. She died not of being sick but being sat on by my ex-brother inlaw that hated her from the get go. We lost 2 of our dogs that way. Somehow they ended up under the sofa cushion. I would not breed a dog to be that size. Runts are of poor health. But it is nice that when they are born someone loves them. I hope it gets a good and loving home. We would never sale the runts because of knowing they would not be healthy. Susan |
What really gets me is the description that they lady wrote about the poor thing. She said that she paid "an arm and a leg for her" but later in the article she said that she came from her moms yorkie. So why would her mom charge her that much money for her. Second of all if her mom breeds yorkies shouldnt she know that a dog this small is in danger of small children. She said that people refer to her as a teaspoon???? OMG! This lady is completely trying to scam somebody out there. She said how cute she looks in a purse. She put her in a tiny Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag and she got the whole stores attention at Petsmart. She goes on to say that she can pick her up with only one hand. Well I can pick up my 4lb dog with one hand!!! She is just stressing the point of this dogs poor weight to care about her. She just wants to get top dollar from somebody. Also I thought the 15% discount part was really funny too! I wish I had the money for this poor thing, just to make sure that she got the love and attention that she needs! |
I e-mailed her and said why are you charging so much, that mine only weighs 2.11 ounces and I only paid $800 for her, and she told me 2.11 is much bigger than 1.7 pounds, and in these little dogs size makes all the difference. Can you believe her  So, basically she's saying the smaller the more money:thumbdown |

My Rocky is over 5lbs and I can pick him up w/ one hand (I have very small hands) and fit him in my purse!!! I hope no one is stupid enough to buy this pup. |

Wowzers!!! Quote:
And how did they get under the couch cushions anyway?? I've never seen dogs do that. My Zoie "buries" her bones in between the cushions on my leather sofas! It's funny because the cushions aren't really separated, they are just sewn to look like it and she thinks her bone is really buried. |

that is sad and outrageous |
Ok i wanna say something the pictures she has up have been altered in a photo shop or paint shop because i tried to copy the pic to my puter to get a closer look at the eyes because they look so weird and when i went to save it i noticed it was a bitmap file so there is definently something weird going on with this dog the eyes are not normal this is weird!!! |
The hair that is between the eyes on the forhead has been photoshopped in and also the eyes have been altered it\'s plain as day once you can get a closer look at the pick there is something deffinently wrong with the puppy why would you add hair and mess with the eyes in fact there are a lot of changes to the dog a lot of the hair all over has been messed with this is crazy!!!!! |
I agree with you, I just took the pic to paint shop pro, zoomed in and you can tell which hairs were "added" they are very pixeled..and the eyes look funny..... very weird.... |

Very interesting! The pictures are altered? Wonder what that is all about?? |
I didn\'t even notice that I\'m going to go look at the picture again right now. |
yeah the most noticeable is the bangs |
She does look sad...........this breaks my heart. |
Why would someone add hairs to her picture?? Is she shy on hair??? I\'m thinking of requesting more pictures from her! |
If you look at the third picture down and zoom in it doesn\'t really look like it has been touched up. THe others do when you zoom in but that one looks ok to me. michelle |
Did anyone else noticed the seller reduced the price today to 8k? |
Reduced price. She actually reduced it to $7,500 now, but she\'s going to have to go ALOT cheaper than that. She said all reasonable offers accepted, hey maybe someone should offer $1,000, hey its reasonable and since she\'s not showable I would say thats a good price for her. Anybody!! I would but I kind of ended on a bad note when I e-mailed her last time, hey maybe thats why she\'s reducing it. |
I think it\'s funny she\'s reducing the price! Of course, she has to, if someone was to spend that kind of money, they would probably at least buy it in person. I wonder if she is even really selling a dog......... |
I think it\'s some sort of a scam. If you read her post, she repeats herself over and over again. Too many words, too many stories. I especially don\'t believe her about being willing to drive or accompany the dog to its new owners and that she doesn\'t know how it works. If I was charging $7 to 8,000 for something, I\'d know how it worked to ship it there. She got it from somewhere. How did it work then? Anyway, I\'m highly suspicious of her story and think it\'s a scam. I just got a scam e-mail in which they were obviously trying to get my bank account number from me. The writer also went on and on with the same nonsense over and over again. If you asked your husband why he was 5 hours late, and he went into a long song and dance and gave you 86 reasons, would you believe him? Judy |
I just emailed the website that post was on asking them to please check out the validity of the ad, particularly since they want full payment before shipping the dog. I also emailed the seller telling her that I think she\'s scamming people and that they should be ashamed of themselves it isn\'t valid. I\'d hate to think of some poor animal lover losing that kind of money if it is a con. Judy |
It is absoultly nuts that People will pay that kind of money for the runt of the litter. If anything she should be going for less than average.I have a 5lb Chihuahua and I still get asked if she is a teacup.I always say "no way she meets the AKC standards." The puppy is definatly a cutie and it\'s not her fault she is so small but as long as people will pay those crazy prices they will continue to bred them tiny.I think the breeder who intentionaly breeds them to be under AKC standards is just as bad as a puppy mill. |

someone needs to email her and ask her why the dog is photoshopped? |
:thumbdown |
tHAT poor little thing probabley doesn\'t have hair on it\'s head. That is obviously penciled in , she should be turning blonde there at this age and I bet she isn\'t close to 5 months. Seems really fishy. |
I don\'t really think the pictures are altered but I do think it is a scam, that it\'s actually a much younger puppy than she\'s saying. She has no feedback and does repeat herself over and over. |
