I just saw this thread. I am so sorry Blitzen is missing. Please keep us updated to any news. Our thoughts and prayers will be with your family and Blitzen and that he comes home soon!!!

They say no news is good news but with every hour that passes, it looks bad. I wish I could give everyone happy news but no sign of Blitzen yet. He did show up at the building where he was lost around 11pm last night, not too long after my son-in-law left for the night. But, when the cleaning lady opened the door he took off again. We've been searching all day. Extra prayers needed tonight as it has started to rain and there are cuyotees in the area. My heart breaks for Emilee. She loved Blitzen so much and my poor son-in-law is beside himself thinking it was his fault when it wasn't. He loved Blitzen just as much as Emilee. I did several searches taking the same path each time in hopes that he might pick up my scent. I even took Tucker with me this morning because he is a barker when he wants his squeaky toy. Nothing. I had to come home around 1 this afternoon because there were a few things I needed to get done because I work the next three days at the fair. We were just getting ready to go back to search some more when the fire whistle blew, he's a volunteer. I finally sat down on the couch for a minute and the July babies started jumping all over my feet. I leaned down to pick one up and knew he was having some problems and had to rush him to the vet. He's doing good tonight, on meds and pedilite. Just hasn't been a good week for us all the way around as Gizmo jumped from one chair to the other and missed, fell on his back and nearly knocked himself out. Took him a while to get his bearings but was doing better later that night. So we returned to the search and took puppy with us and came home at 9 but son-in-law is spending the night there just in case Blitzen shows up. They put his bed next to the door along with food and water dish. We really need some heavenly intervention tonight. Thanks for all your prayers.

ohh Linda, my heart is just breaking for you and your family and poor little Blitzen out there alone. Why do these things have to happen? I pray that he comes home, I know it has just had to been 2 nights from hell. We all are thinking of you and your family and sure hope everything turns out ok.

Thanks so much. I'm just as worried about my son-in-law now as I am Blitzen. He is such a basket case blaming himself when it wasn't his fault and add to it that he had just left the center last night when Blitzen showed up. He's falling apart at the seams.

I was so hoping you had found him by now! I'll keep praying for the little sweetie and all that love him!!! Please come home Blitzen!!!

This is my last post tonight as I have to get up early for work and am so tired. It broke my heart everytime Emilee would call for Blitzen and then say with tears, please come home. God, please send Blitzen home!

Don't give up hope, remember there have been YT members whose dogs have been found!

Why don't you have your son in law put Blitzen's food and water bowl down where he was last seen at the center. If he found his way back there again he would at least keep coming back to eat.
