I am going to let her have the puppies. I am broken hearted about this, but I am going to allow this. She is just a baby herself. It just tears me up this just happened this way. I feel like such a terrible mommy. Thanks for all your help, if it wasnt for all your advise, I would have given her the shot. SO thank you....

but that doesnt make you a terrible mommy - i am sorry for what happened but you can't beat yourself up over it... it was an honest mistake
all you can do now is turn it around and do what is right by your lil one
and it sounds likes thats what ur trying to do
is it possible she isnt pregnant?

You are NOT a terrible mommy!! It was an honest mistake. Have you talked with your vet any further about the pros/cons of each? Maybe she isn't even pregnant. I like to think that everything happens for a reason.. you and your little girl will be in my thoughts. Please keep us updated!!

I don't think you're a bad Mommy at all! I sincerely hope she's not pregnant at all. How long will it be before you can tell?

I think I should be able to tell w/in 3 weeks. I will take her to the vet next week. I can't help to feel so bad about whats happened, ya know? She is just a baby herself. I just want to cry when I think about it. Maybe she isn't pregnant. I just wanted to pull them apart last night as I watched her looking at me crying last night, It tore me up inside. There was nothing I could do. Bless her heart. She is just a little baby. I feel so awful. Im sorry I will get over it. I just feel so bad right now. I can't help it. I will help her all I can though.

The safest thing to do is spay her as soon as she is out of this heat..second is to allow the litter to be born. At least the sire is a small breed. Best wishes..

PS..as to a shot..I have used it twice..no pups resulted.

Oh no she is as chipper as she can be, no problems what-so-ever. Its me thats traumatized. Im the one thats stressed over this, Im the one in pain, suffering, crying, gritting teeth, calling everyone, the vets, my mom, my family, my friends... You guys!!! Gracie?? You ask how she is? Oh she is fine, just as happy as she ever is....;) And Harley still whimpering and crying at the tops of my stairs waiting on her to come through. :cool:

And Poor Bailey, he hasn\'t a clue, ah well somewhat, but she wont have anything at all to do with him, she grew up w/ him since they were little pups. And he just gave up, he just cries to get out of his crate at night. He is the Yorkie. I plan on breeding her with. Oh its just a mess to think about!!!!

Please don\'t be hard on yourself. You might want to talk with your vet on nutrition or a supplement for her, being so young herself she needs all the calcium, etc, for healthy development, but she may not be preganant. A vet should be able to tell you or maybe Stacy or Kimberly could regarding if and what supplement would be adviseable. I might add that maybe since this only happened the one time, hopefully she isn\'t pregnant so if she was mine I would seperate them so this couldn\'t happen again. Best to you and I am glad you decided against the shot. Patti

I just read the post over, What size is the chi that got to her, what does he weigh in pounds?
