| Hello! My name is Alycia and I am the proud mommy to Autumn. She is a 5 1/2 pound yorkie. I am a pretty straight forward and honest person, so I will say I was a little nervous about joining at first. LOL I have had a bad experience with over the top gone to far rescue groups who are adamantly against breeding of any kind. I am not against rescue groups. I am against them badgering responsible breeders instead of sticking with actual neglect or abuse cases. I browsed the posts here and found that there was support for responsible breeders and I was quite impressed with how this community seems to be. My Autumn is expecting her second litter in about 5 to 7 days. After this litter we plan to have her spayed as I think two litters is plenty for my baby. Now, I must confess, they are not pure bred yorkies, and I realize many people frown on that. Our problem when looking for a stud was there weren't any male yorkies comparable to her. My Father in law has a maltese the same size as our Autumn so we are having York-Tese. They turn out quite cute. We kept a girl from her first litter and we named her Gizmo. Tomorrow Autumn is going to the Dogtor for her check up before her puppies arrive. I do have one question and that is has anyone had a yorkie deliver early? I just wondered if it was possible. Autumn went two days late with her first litter. She had three and we lost one. This time we think she is having atleast 5. We will see what the dogtor says tomorrow. 63 days gestation is on August 25. |

| Thank you! I was glad to find a place where I could talk about my furbabies and people wouldn't think I was nutso LOL I really think Autumn might go early because of how she is acting. Maybe I had her date added up wrong? She has become attached to a pink comforter that we were going to throw out because it has a hole in it. I think I might cut the part off with the whole and re-sew it for her instead of throwing it out. |

| Welcome to YT! A great place to find out her due date is www.debbiejensen.com There's a due date calculator on there. That way you can know for sure! I haven't experienced my dogs going early, but it is possible. Forgive me, I've just started my cup of coffee, but I *think* someone told me that if they are born more than 10 days early that they won't survive. After that, they have a chance. Good luck at the vet and keep us updated!

Thanks! I am checking that site out now! She isn't showing any signs of labor, but she does still have like 7 to 9 days to go (I think I had posted 5-7 days and I was wrong). I counted 63 days from the first day that we thought she "took" and came up with August 25. I have been told that she could go anywhere from 60 to 65 days. I guess the only reason I am worried she will go early is because she is definitely having a larger litter than last time. She had three last time and lost one, but this time we are pretty sure we are having 4 to 6 and I am just a nervous gramma to be I guess. My camera is not working so I told hubby maybe I need new batteries or something but I was going to post in the nursery that we are expecting in a week but I have no pictures to post since the camera is down. Trying to get my Aunt to let me borrow her camera LOL Ok sorry I babbled on. I will definitely let ya'll know what the vet says!! Talking about my furkids is my favorite past time! lol

| No need to apologize! We all love to talk about our furbabies... or we wouldn't have YT!! lol Something else I thought of.... if she is having a large litter, it could cause her to go early. That's a possibility. Mine nested for several days before they went into labor though.
