Great thread! I entered the yorkie world this past april & in May I found YT by accident when I was searching the internet for info (Snicker's had to have bone plating done for a bad leg break).

I really don't know how I ever even smiled before I got my yorkie, b/c life is just 200% better now that I have him. AND....it's great to have a site where there are other people who love their furbabies better than their skin kids & spouses....Just Kidding (maybe?!?:))

Seriously, being new to the world of yorkie, this site has taught me so much. Looking at the pictures & reading all the stories really gets me through the day. I work in the new home business (which is dead) & I don't know what I'd do without my daily reading.

As I was reading your first post I was thinking. Wow V must be having a very melancholy day.

Thanks. I can't speak for anyone else, but to me that means a lot coming from you.

I personally I believe that I have grown since joining this site. I have only been a member since January 2006, and I'm pretty old to be learning new tricks, but I guess I'm not so set in my ways that can't experience some spiritual growth.

I've never been a joiner and therefore have not had the opportunity to experience a variety of opinions.

Pretty much I've always been one on one, and if there was a difference of opinion, Well there was no doubt in my mind, who was right. LOL. I have even learned to shrug off my opinionated, difficult, socially immature DIL

Villette I so totally agree! If it was not for YT, I would not have my baby Lillie! Everyone here is so warm and caring and I dont know what I would do without this place!

What a wonderful post/thread. I found YT by accident when searching for training tips. And what a find it was!!

I agree that having brought Sissy into my life has made it so much more wonderful, but adding YT to the mix was like putting my favorite creamy icing onto a dark chocolate mousse cake!! I have gotten received so much information from this site, but more importantly I found a place where I am not abnormal in the way I feel about my baby. I find unending support and concern on this site. I am humbled and amazed by the prayers that have been sent out to those with missing babies, sick babies, babies who have crossed the rainbow bridge as well as for things that have nothing to do with our furbabies!!

To all the friends I have on this site - I thank you from the bottom of my heart. And I look forward to making many more!

I am new to this site and got lucky to find a yorkie place where everyone enjoys each one. Rules are easy to follow and hope to be welcome to this forum. I have enjoyed reading some of the post and even the ones on this thread. I have two little pet Yorkies and love them dearly. I just can't believe all these post and threads to read. I will have to quit my job to keep up on reading them. LOL.......

I found YT the day after my color anomally pups were born. I was welcomed in with open arms. There were many people who were not thrilled that I had them but were quite polite about it. There were even more that were very supportive and thought they were gorgeous. I said I'd post pictures as they grew being that most of us had never seen them before. I have been touched so many times at the responses and people who felt like they knew and loved Mercedes and Maverick. Anyway, they are what brought me here, and the people are what kept me here. Again though, I do have to say that Villette is such a special part of YT and if we had a mascott it would HAVE to be her!!!

P.S.
My pups turned a year old in May....and I'm STILL HERE!

Thanks Villette for such a great thread. It is a good reminder of all the good that goes on here. With out you and many others it wouldn't be the same.:D

After reading some post made by members here on YT, I think I have fond a nice place to have joined and also a place to find a new puppy when I am ready for one. Not very many Yorkies in the hills where I live but I will just have to get my help here.

Yours is a wonderful posting. I found this forum by accident and I thank my lucky stars that I did. I've been depressed for nearly a year since my husband died. Getting my little Lucy in March has been great, and I can pull this site up and read everything that's going on with other people and forget about myself for a while.

This is a caring bunch of people who truly love their furbabies and go out of their way to be supportive to everyone who needs help.

Oh Kim...I'm so sorry about your husband and wish you all the best. How nice you have Lucy to help with your grief.....I know just what that is with my husband being sick - somedays you can get overwwhelmed with sad feelings and hopelessness - and just looking at their litte faces that depend on us so much always brings me back...I can't imagine my life without them either.....You must have had a wonderful marriage. I'm sorry for your loss...

and Judy - Welcome to you !! you're at the right place - there's many people that have found their yorkie thru this site....

I may not post often but, when I do it's from my heart. Most posts (99.9%) are from the heart. You all have our little furbabies well being up front.
I wish that I could open up like some do, maybe one day I will. I have laughed and cried along with many of you. I have read sad endings and happy ones too. Most of all I enjoy coming here and just reading the posts, I have taken the advice of many of the posts. I will continue to come here, you are all wonderful people who go out of your way to help those in need. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making this a great site.:cheer: :cheer:

AWWW! That's so sweet! YT is super therapy, and also so educational. As someone else said, I have also learned more from here than from books and it's juat amazing how far people will go to help one another out. YT is made up of really amazing people with big hearts and huge passions for their doggies! I love it!
