back in 1988 my dad paid £200 ($378)for scampi which was a lot of money then for a yorkie but he had a good pedigree. i paid £165 ($312) for sasha 13 years ago. tye and zac were free cos they are scampi and sashas pups. brandi cost £70 ($132) from a rescue home and annie was free as her old owner needed to rehome her away from kids. the normal price for a yorkie in the uk is about £350 ($662) but some prices go up a lot higher say £1000 ($1891):aimeeyork |
Oscar(Yorkie), RIP my baby?. $1600.00 Chiquito(Chihuahua)? $75.00 Jerome(Yorkie) $700.00 Lots and lots of doggie love? PRICELESS:D |
I paid $450 for Gator. He's 7.3lbs at 71/2 mths and just adorable. |
Lola was the cutest and tiniest in her litter too! The breeder wanted 950 but gave her to me for 850 cuz she has a little hernia problem. At 5 1/2 months she is a healthy 4 lbs 11 oz! She will have to have surgery tho, but I couldn't help falling for her! She passed the "kiss test"! :p I put each puppy to my face and said, "ching ching" or kiss kiss in chinese, and she promptly licked me! How could I not love her? but y'all are right, the love and devotion in your puppy's eyes as she follows you around???? priceless!:D |
Princess (yorkie) $1,000.00 Koda Bear (yorkie) $600.00 Brownie (chi mix or should I say mutt) $50.00 and that was to take her mommy to the vet cause she was stuck in the birth canal. But I got to see her be born and instantly fell in love with her. She was the odd ball and runt. |
$700.00 for sissy and $550.00 for Daisy Sometimes I think it depends on the State?????? Hey they are worth Millions!!!!!:) |
I paid 800 for my Buddy. No papers. I don't intend to have him bred, so no a big deal. I saw the parents and they were adorable. I could not have left the breeder's without him, that's how fast we fell in love with him. He is 6 1/2 months, five pounds, and smart as a whip. |
I paid $2800 (to a pet store :( ) Mia's 6 months old and 4 pounds of a lot of  !!! I did get the AKC papers for her, but I just wish I hadn't contributed to the puppy mill thing. (never again) |
i paid 1600 for snickers and she was from a pet store (i know now that was a huge no-no but i still wouldnt trade her!!!) |
i paid $900 for Benji, well actually my uncle did. He is over in Iraq and I have been doing all his bills and stuff and he knew I wanted a yorkie for a really long time so he just sent me some money. That was last november and it was the best present a girl could ever ask for. The only bad thing was that we got him at 8 weeks, did realize that you really shouldn't get them until 12, and he got really sick 2 weeks after we got him. After $700 in vet bills, I tell ya those emergency vet hospitals really want to take your money, he is a healthy little boy, even though they never did find out what was really wrong with him!!! |
My Sophie I am new to yorkietalk.. this is actually my 1st post. I have to say I absolutely LOVE it that I can read about other yorkie lovers. My baby is Sophie and she is 13 weeks old at 2.5 lbs. I paid $1350 for her from a breeder that told me she won't be bigger than 4lbs... but being that she's already 2.5 lbs, I really doubt she'll be that small. But I don't care.. I think she is the most wonderful little dog in the world. I am so much in love with her! |
I wanted to get a yorkie after my other dog died and my boyfriend said no because I was so attached to him, but he finally bought me my baby boy brusier, He was only $300.00 because he was the biggest in the litter but in my eyes he was the most precious. I thank my boyfriend all the time for him. I told him I would probably give him away before I would Brusier.:aimeeyork |
i got Remy for $900. he had a bigger brother who was $850, but Remy was much smaller and cuter. :D |
I paid $300 for Peek 9 years ago. I just paid $700 for the new puppy from a "backyard Breeder" as the vet just called it. |
Prices Gosh, how come some of you guys got your yorkies for so much cheaper? I looked and looked everywhere. The cheapest I found was the $1,350 for Sophie. I am looking to get another one... Anyone know of a good breeder in northern California that isn't so expensive? |
