| The standard is 7 lbs and under. Some unknowing people or breeders misleading people refer to the smaller yorkies as teacup but there is no such thing or any other classifications for yorkies

| The standard for the breed is 5-7 lbs. Yorkies are classified under the Toy dogs. There is no such thing as a Teacup, but many people and breeders will refer to one under 4 lbs as such, just as many here with ones over 7 lbs will refer to them as Teapots!!
