Yorkie/Dacshaund puppy pics 2 Attachment(s) I posted pics of my sister's Yorkie/Dachsy mix (Gadget)several weeks ago. Here's pics I took today. He is about 4 months old. He's starting to sprout blond hair! We are dog sitting him and his Schnoodle brother. The Schnoodle is the most laid back, docile dog....Gadget(the Yorkie mix) is a B-R-A-T!! We've spent all day today trying to get him in line. He has no doggy manners. He goes up my Yorkies and either puts his face right in theirs or jumps on them. It p.o's Scout so much that he's put him in his place more than once. We are working on Rules and Boundaries...he's obviously never had any. He's starting to understand that we are the pack leaders around here. Unfortunately, he goes back to his undisciplined life in a week. I'm a bit worried, 'cause he will not be a good dog unless my sister gets control! |
Aw He is cute. You cant tell hes a mix. He looks all yorkie to me. |
Aww.. he's a cutie though! He looks tiny.. how big is he? |
LOL....How in the world can you call him a brat  with that sweet innocent little face. How adorable!!!! :) Hopefully your sister will see what a good mommy you are and follow suit  |

LOL...you should live with him! I know he's young and still in puppy stages, but I feel it's never too early to establish leadership and acceptable behavior. He definetely thought he was in charge of all humans and dogs when he came to our house yesterday. He did alot of biting on all three of the other dogs-going after their ears mostly. You could tell all the other dogs had just about enough. He also followed us and tried to bite toes if we had sandals or no shoes on. We had to stay on top of him constantly..I'm worn out. We had to do lots of correction yesterday and today. It's getting better...I am making him a project....and telling my sister she better keep him in line at home!! |
Well I'm glad at least you seem to be enjoying yourself. :) :) They can be little monsters if we don't get the leadership role straightened out at the get go. Your sister will think you've traded puppies on her when she picks him up.... |
Good Luck! I had a dachshund once and she was the most stubborn, feisty, untrainable, silly funny, smart and lovable little dog ever. Now mix that with a Yorkie and add this attitude to it I guess you'll create a monster! LOL |
He is Soo cute. Some one told me once they call that mix a dorkie. What a cutie pie :) |
He is soooooooo adorable! |
He is so cute! I have never seen that mix before. |

Isn't this the little guy we've seen pics of before? If I remember, he's got the yorkie face & doxie body. My parent's had a dachshund & I've got the Yorkie, & if you ask me they're both stubborn creatures. So I can understand what you're going through!!! |
too cute |
I totally understand what you are going through!! We were dog sitting for my cousin. She had two dogs, a shih tzu and a terrier mix. We had no problems with the terrier mix. But the whole time, the shih tzu(female) tried humping my dogs. She was constantly doing it. The little ones were scared of her and would hide the whole time and the bigger dogs got really mad and got into several fights with her. She finally learned that at our house, that type of behavior is not allowed. She wore us out, every minute or two we had to always say no and correct her. The dogs went back home to their owners Friday and I know what they learned here is a lost cause. They never correct their dog for doing this behavior, they don't see a problem with her doing it.:( |
what a cutie! I think he looks more Yorkie then Dacshaund |
he is a cutie!! He looks more yorkie to me :) . |

Yep, this is the boy! Actually, his body is catching up with the rest of him and it doesn't look so doxy anymore. He looks very Yorkie. His fur is a little more wiry than a yorkie. He has one ear that flops back. I'm thinking it needs to be taped. I'm going to try and trim the hair on it first to see if that will work. |
Aww .. What a cutie pie !!! Too cute !!! :) |
he looks like those puppys someone had listed on livedeal.com! |
1 Attachment(s) Piper being a mix Morkie was the same way. We had to show her our pecking order in the house. She does great now, it took about 2 weeks. She had absolutely no training either. A can of coins I shook when she would bite, saying no bite. It worked on her biting.Scared her to death with the sound. Misha puts her in her spot here & there with a snip. I think her growl is bigger than her bite. Misha would never really hurt her, she just scares Piper more when she gets out of line. But they are pretty much inseparable after 2months. Enclosed are my 2 sleeping while I'm on here. |
he is soo cute!! |

He's beginning to learn the "pecking order" and doing alot better behavior wise. Dogs learn faster than kids how to behave! He and Scout are getting along better and even playing some. Scout does give him warning "snips" every now & then. Pippa just runs away from him, and his Schnoodle brother just ignores him. It's the first time he's ever had to deal with another dog (Scout)that has just as strong personality as him! |
Cute Dorkie!! Awww what a cute little Dorkie!!! :D lol I just crack up at the name "Dorkie" because I have a mini female Doxi and of course my Yorkie, Stedman...well I told hubby that we had better get Stedman fixed soon or else we will have "LITTLE DORKIES" running around everywhere, lol :p Anyway, that little thing is so precious! LOL and I love the second pic - "ME???? A BRAT!?!!???? But I'm so sweet and innocent :(" LOL :D Yeah right, we all know Yorkies aren' the most innocent things around, and Doxies SURE aren't! lol. No matter what though, we still love 'em ;) |
I have a dorkie too, and I love her!! She's such a good girl, but it did take a lot of work!! |
What a cutie!! |
He is actually looking alot more Yorkie these days. My sister has a pic up on her my space...I'm at work and can't get it right now, but I will post it when I get home on this thread. |
He is very cute! |
He is totally adorable. I hope he will remember his training when he gets back home. |
