| I'm a new member Hi everyone! I joined a while ago, but just started replying today. I have already learned so much from reading the threads. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to introduce myself or what so here goes... I'm 35, divorced, with no human children. I was given my first yorkie in 2000. He was already 2 years old. He was precious. My little "shorty" dog. I found out in 2005 that he had a tumor on his optical nerve. He lost his sight, and held his head to the side. I was assured that he was not in pain. They said it would be obvious when it was time to let him go. So, when that time came, I decided to get another one. Into my life came this little black, flopped earred wild man. Otis, now 2, still black and tan, and still flopped earred. I'll figure out how to post pics soon. Otis's only downfall is that he's a runner and I'm constantly worried about the front door opening. I don't really trust anyone to watch him because he's sneaky!! When Otis was one and a half, I got another baby. Oliver is a little black shih-tzu/poodle mix. They are very different as Ollie has NO terrier in him so he's not so much about the hunt when he's outside. I'm not sure how you all feel about discussing non-yorkie babies. I had every intention of getting a second yorkie but then Oliver came into my life like it was meant to be. They are brothers and good buddies, and because they are both black, non-dog people often think they are of the same breed. Looking forward to getting to know some fellow dog/yorkie lovers. I'll actually turn down people who ask me to do things sometimes because I'd rather be home with my boys. Hope to talk to ya'll soon.

| Hello, and welcome!!! I loved reading about your dogs. There are some non-yorkies here who are as well known and loved as any! I know what you mean about just loving to be home with the dogs. I'm a home-body anyway, and sometimes when I've been away from them for awhile I feel myself SO irrationally excited to get back home to them! Glad you found us!
