We always tip the groomers |
I always tip my groomer. I take my babies to the groomer once a month for EVERYTHING (which cost $40 per dog) -- bath, wash and blow, trim, nail cut, anal glands expressed (ewww), ears cleaned and ear hair plucked, etc. They get the works!! Then in between visits (basically 2 weeks after their complete grooming), I bring them in for minor touch ups -- nail cut, ears cleaned, hair around feet and toes trimmed and hair by butt and pee pee shaved. :p She usually never charges me for this but I always give her a $20 because I really do appreciate it. I give her a Christmas bonus too. She's just awesome and treats my dogs so great. I'm also allowed to sit there and watch the whole process. :p |
My groomer is the best! I take both boys every Thursday. They get baths every week, and nails, hair trims, etc. when needed. She only charges $20.00 per week for both babies! You betcha I tip! Santa visits her too.:D And to top it all off, she has 7 yorkies of her own! |

I do tend to tip hairdressers more because I understand that they don't always make a lot and if they do a good job, I want them to have something. I would tip a groomer if they were low in price and really good but I've never experienced anyone who "wowed" me and the prices were always high enough that I felt they got a fair price for their work. suzie |
Yep - we tip our groomer about $5 per dog (she charges $30 per dog for bath, cut, nails, etc.) each time. We also give her a larger tip and a small gift at Christmas. If you are getting good service from someone on a regular basis, you should let them know! :) |
I tip Lily's 'hairdresser' 10+ each and every time. However, I never tip my hairdresser. She doesn't take as much time nor does as good of a job as Lily's does. So I guess that means Lily's "do" usually looks better than mine. lol |
