Stacy,
If you are referring to the "Ginger" baby I offered our mutual friend last year, that pup was being offered with a full reg with possiblity to show and or breed. Please get over it and leave my prices out of this. I never mentioned YOUR prices for pet nor did I refer to our friend Platinum who so graciously had to chime in on my post. I wish you both the BEST.

nope...that wasn't what I was referring to and you brought up the fact that $1,000 should buy a nice pet from a reputable breeder, so I was just asking a question. I don't see that there is anything I need to get over.

ButterflyYorkie 08-02-2006 09:14 PM

Then I obvisouly need to get over the fact that you as a small scale "for the money" breeder even remotely gets under my skin at this time.

You posted on yorkies for sale or wanted that "in your area" a reputable breeder charges 1500-2000 for a guaranteed pup. So does that mean if a good breeder with a pup 1400 and under had babies available that they are not on "your" scale in your area?

PlatinumYorkies 08-02-2006 09:14 PM

In all respect, Robbie I was the only one who mentioned paying $2000 for my Yorkshire Terrier, so let's just agree that I got what I paid for, and could not have done better if I went with that $1000 Yorkshire Terrier. I am not entering into a tit for tat here....BTW! I'm Mone't, not Platinum....

You have made it a point to refer to me by name atleast twice now. I never referred to you and was posting about puppies in general and general high pricing for PET. Thanks for your input however and best wishes always.

Bless your heart too!! Why do you care what I do? You have always loved a fight and a dispute. More power to ya! BTW, I plan to have alot of FUN at the FUN matches. I actually get off my butt and do something with my breed.

I do agree that a Yorkie is a luxury, not a necessity, and if we don't want to pay the prices, we don't have to. The costs we pay in maintaining them far outweigh the initial purchase price

.:ghug:

I want to say I don't look at our Baby Blessing as a luxury nor did I look at Cassie as being a luxury, I guess I look at a luxury as being something that is materialistic, having a yorkie or what ever breed one chooses to adopt to their forever home in this life time is sometimes a neccessity, where does one find so much unconditional love than from a pet, in time of sadness or illness they are such a comfort, it is amazing how the talk here is on how much is too much. I recall Cassie jumping up into my arms and staring me in the eyes in my rocker one evening just the week before she passed away, I remember telling her how much I loved her and that if someone offered me a million dollars for her, I would refuse it. There are those that might say, Lady are you crazy and yes I would say crazy in love with Cassie. However, little did I know the very next week I would be freely giving her back to the Lord for our keeping, she is forever in our hearts. We are so thankful we got Baby Blessing and I didn't even think twice at the amount of money we had to pay for her, and still don't, we love her and she is worth every bit of what we had to pay for her. Why bicker about price, sometimes when that happens after paying whatever then thats all you see is dollar signs and miss out on the joys of what you spent it on. This is all my own opinon. Patti

Well you obviously need to get over something. You seem to be mistaken about my breeding program and may want to refer to my original post on this thread for clarification. If I was breeding 'for the money' I certainly wouldn't have invested in the quality and pedigrees that are in my program and would be out of the red and into the black by now....and that doesn't seem to be even remotely on the horizon at this point, LOL!
If there was a reputable breeder charging $1,400. for guaranteed pups in this area, I would gladly refer the people on my waiting list to them for pups.

I'm glad to hear that. Keep up the good work.

Just for the record...when have you put a dog of your breeding in the ring Stacy? I must be confused.

Thank you for all the power, me and my butt will need it for the challenge ahead. Though in the meantime I will have fun playing with Champion sired dog.:D

Not sure what you are confused about this time, Robbie...but thanks for asking. I have high hopes for the AKC conformation ring next year with a pup that has been doing well at the kennel club handling class. I'll keep you posted on our progress if you're interested.

Sure, keep me posted. I may need a major soon.
